Just read that the Real honorary president Gento (great player), said that the CL Final "would be a piece of cake". In American sports, we call that "Bulletin board material" meaning, that quote is posted on the bulletin board at the entrance of the team's dressing room. This way, EVERY player and coach sees that disrespectful quote and uses it as fuel for their fire in the coming game. Good job, Sparky a. k. a Gento! Keep talking that trash. YNWA.

Remember my dad telling me that Malcolm McDonald from Newcastle did something similar in the 1974 fa cup final. Was saying he was going to destroy Hughes and Thompson that they wouldn't be able to handle him. Won that final 3-0 if I'm not mistaken let's hope history repeats itself lads.

I remember before an NFL game btw the New England Patriots and the Pittsburg Steelers where before the game, a Steelers defensive player (Anthony Taylor) said that the Pats were overrated and could be gotten at. Remember, the Pats were undefeated and the game would be in NE where they NEVER lose. Tom Brady thanked the player for offering you guessed it, Bulletin Board Material.

What happened in the game? Pittsburg was blown out of the water and the Pitt defensive player was ridiculed as he was beaten for a touchdown pass amongst many other things they did to him. The Pats later said they decided to not just beat Pitt, but to humiliate both them and that player for running his mouth. Gento is now Anthony Taylor and Klopp MUST do all they can to make him eat his words w/ o any chasers or bbq sauce.

The last time a Madrid president opened his mouth about the pending outcome of a Liverpool-Real Madrid face-off and wrote us off before a ball was kicked we humbled them 1-0 on their turf and battered them 4-0 at Anfield. That President didn't keep much job too much longer.
