Hi Eds

Regardless of how the season pans out top 4/ Europe do we expect to be targeting the same players in the summer regardless?
Is there to be a big clear out in the summer or a trimming of the squad if we are being polite

I don’t see the need for a “clear out”.

In fact I think t would be detrimental. A few will leave (as expected) but dramatic changes aren’t needed. The squad is playing well and looks happy.

Add 1 or 2. Lose 1 or 2. Build on what we have which is already very strong 💪🏼.

It won’t be the same poor Chelsea and Arsenal next season! So if you want to fight for trophies and titles then you need solid reinforcement! I expect Klopp to buy 5 players in the summer. GK, RB, 2 x CM, Attacker.

If Karius continues his form then maybe not a gk and a top class centerback to partner VVD. any injury to VVD and we're back to matip/ lovern/ klavan.

Depends on what you mean by a “clearout” Dhfc.

Markovic, Mignolet, Bogdan, Flanagan and Sturridge are definite outs if buyers can be found. Grujic, Origi and Clyne are all 3rd choice and will most likely want to leave. Can is already leaving, Milner and Klavan are both coming towards the end of their career and will most likely move this season or next depending on incomings. Lallana apparently wants to leave

And then there are the youth players who have the task of breaking into the first team. Woodburn, Ward, Kent, Ejaria, Ojo, Randall, Wilson, Chirivella, Allan and Awoniyi. Most will go back on Loan but I can't see them all wanting to stay at the club and fight for their place in the first team.

So there will be quite a bit of movement out of the club in my opinion.

Harry, Arsenal is finished and will remain finished as long as that dinosaur is still in charge. As for Chelsea, if they get Enrique who is decent BUT not in Conte's class, their shameless board will do the same things they have done to Conte and many before him. to Enrique. And Hazard may not even be there next season as well. City will not stop, neither will Spurs (if they keep Kane) and clearly, we will too. I would not hold my breathe about a GK if Karius keeps going cos remember, Karius is his guy and has always wanted him to be no. 1
and by the way, Ed02 has said Allison (many's preferred choice) is a non starter. Let's go!
