The players who are captaining our team in the absence of Hendo or Milner really does hit home the lack of leadership in the side currently, imo.

Mignolet, who's game is plagued by hesitancy and doubt is third choice captain, and it seems Coutinho, who actively wants to leave the club, and never really struck me as a leader anyway, is fourth choice. So they're the best leaders we have then? I really hope Keita's a natural leader.

And yes, I know The Cannibal captained the team occasionally in his last season whilst wanting to play for Barcelona, but at least there some sliver of sense in that because his unrelenting need to win could drag guys along with him. I don't think Coutinho has that.

Every player should lead in there own right, not just one person.

Shocking decision for me.

Its an armband these days, no more. Shake hands, get a photo taken and decide which end to play first, that's it. The likes of a John Terry or Steve Gerrard were a dying breed, players who rallied the team if things were going tits up.

I think Klopp just picks the longest serving player on the field to captain when Henderson isn't playing. I'm sure it was mentioned a while ago.

Coutinho plays a blinder, the team play well and we hammer a decent team. He was their whenever somebody was down injured, he captained the team very well I’d say.
