Afternoon Eds. just wondering if you guys could give us an opinion on who we may target (if any) for a replacement if Coutinho does go? Mahrez? Reus? Gotze? What's your thoughts?

Move Firmino back to the attacking midfield position and hope for one of Origi/ Sturridge to start firing, alongside Mane and Salah. It'll strengthen our midfield further too with Firmino's pressing and work rate, not to mention his ability to thread passes through to the front line.

So would you add any one Ed001, if Coutinho did leave. I. e. A Striker, CAM, CM or do you believe we should focus on defence as we have enough creativity and fire power? I think we do need to strengthen our defence but I think if Couts leaves we will be seriously missing something in our attack that will be hard to replace. Most goals scored from outside the box since he's been in the prem, that's hard to replace in tough games.

{Ed001's Note - I would add a midfielder, we will need to defo if Can does not sign a new contract.}

Salah is great but moving him deep like we intended to play coutinho in wouldn't make any sense this season.

{Ed001's Note - no, you are missing the point, Couts was our left winger, so we have already replaced him. If he stays that is different.}

I thought Salah would be the ideal replacement for Couts, as he seems quite comfortable across the front 3.

If that happens, do you see us going back in for Brandt? Left footed left winger? Has he decided his future is elsewhere, or could he see Liverpool as an option if Couts were to leave, and we declared an interest in signing him?

Brandt like Lallana and Ousmane Dembele, is two footed. He rejected us due to playing time so don't see why he would suddenly change his mind.

He was not keen because he would have been second choice to Coutinho.

Coutinho was then moved to the middle, where he is/ was expected to play this upcoming season and replaced by Salah on the left wing.

If, Countinho goes, and Salah plays in the middle, that leaves a gap on the left wing. If Brandt was brought in he would then be the first choice, left footed, left winger.

It is not hard to work out.
