Boys not a Liverpool supporter but why didn't coutinho and sturrudge didn't start today was baffling, if you don't want sturridge send him down to the spurs

Team was picked to stiffel Carrick and went well until HT and then they reverted to using the long ball from the back because they have 0 creativity anywhere on the pitch.

Unfair to say they have zero creativity. They created a couple chances in the first half that without migs could have swung the game easily

They were silly mistakes on our behalf not creativity from UTD, Mourinho knows what he has to do to get results hence utd resorting to the long ball. It's a fact look up the stats and tell me where the creativity is in that?

As for the goal we conceded well I think klopp put it best.

You`re right, Faith. However, their attacks and build up play were not consistent enough cos as Savvy says, we played to stifle them in midfield and the press sifled their buildu play from the back. Also, Can did a job on Pogba too as his athleticism, energy and size matched up well with Pog, making him useless the whole game.

The fact that they couldn't deal with our press (Mou said so as well, they resorted to hoofball and bypassing the midfield. This is where Matip would have helped but unfortunately, he couldn`t play.

We created more chances than them and had moshots on goal than they did too so all in all, a very solid performance under the circumstances

Hamilton

Where did we create more chances than UTD? They had two clear cut chances in the first half and a couple in second half as well.

How many were on target and clear cut goal scoring opportunities. I don't think we tested DDG enough comparing to Migs was just brilliant on 3 occasions. A solid point is what we set up for and we got it. I am happy but stop over hyping!

The raver. coutinho didn't start because he has just come back from 7 weeks out and it's was always going to be an intense game with them kicking us every time we played through them. And Seeing how firmino hustled there backline all game tirelessly showed why he is preferred to studge. I don't want him to leave I want him to get sharp again but I fear the injuries have drastically affected his acelleration. I'd swap you studge for dembele 😉

Coutinho unfortunately wasn't fit enough yet, you could see him huffing after just 10mins and no way would he have lasted a game of that intensity for even 60mins, he would have slipped up defensively.

Sturridge was left out because Firmino sets the tone on the high press from the front and frankl I agree, particularly away from home. I personally would have played Sturridge out wide but Klopp perhaps wanted Origi upfront for his pace and aerial ability. He seemed to target Origi from the get go as an outlet ball from the back when our keeper/ CBs had no other option.

Harry as lfcdiamond said, we had more shots than they did, more shots on target than they did (4 to 3). Those are the stats. Now if you want to say which ones were more guilt edged, that is a subject of opinion cos I could also say that apart from the free kick, Migs made the saves he was supposed to make as they were right at him. They had all their creative players on the pitch, we did not. Either way, not overhyping. Just calling it like it is. Isn`t that what you always say?
