Rumours that Allen will be staying if we can't get zielinski. Whilst I agree that we should not buy for the sake of it, surely we should be looking at someone better than him. He has had seasons to prove what he's got, and if we can't find someone who wants to come to us, that we can buy who would be an improvement, then it's not a good sign. Hendo and can first choice, and Lucas and Stewart options too, plus branagan and chirivella if needed. I'd rather just sell Allen and play chiravella or branagan more often.

I'd say that right now Lucas, Stewart and Brannagan already offer much more than the headless chicken Joe Allen, a man that seems to have tricked people into thinking he's improved because he's grown long hair and a beard.

@Gandhi define more? Lucas and Allen are very different players and offer some very different. Equally Brannagan is a different type of midfielder and so to say one offers more than the other is hard because they all do different roles.

hmasson, yes I am watching the Euros but as Ed001 says, it's dangerous to judge a player in international football since the game is so slow and the players are given so much time that even the fat kid Wayne Rooney can occasionally look decent.
The fact is Joe Allen at his best is still nothing special, Henderson for example is twice the player. Allen is simply not good enough.

Game of Thrones, if you think Lucas offers nothing then you are simply not worth arguing with because you clearly know nothing about football.
