Well where to begin with the sheer amount of crap this week.

Origi, henderson and Can all get injured.

Sakho somehow manages to violate doping laws.

We throw away another convincing lead thanks to the usual suspects.

Think it goes without saying yet again that with a left back and goalkeeper of such unbelievable imcompetence we cannot expect to realistically challenge for anything. Think of all the times mignolet has let us down this year. With a decent goalkeeper we would be in the top 4 and have won the league cup. It has to change.

Two assists does not a defender make. Its pretty simple really. Most of the goals we concede involve him failing to stop a cross or being out of position or making stupid rash challenges. Going forward he is simply erratic rather than quality, which occassionally gets him a goal or assist.

I agre with his defensive lapses but he offers so much in attack that he would be missed. Migs fault not Moreno, crosses like that are bread and butter for any decent goalie.

It's simple really, keep Moreno as back up to the new left back we get. We certainly need one, and one capable of defending first. If you have two different options like that you can prepare for different games appropriately, he may not like it but he has a contract here and will have to stay at least one season.

Mignolet on the other hand, I couldn't give two ***** if he stayed as back up because that's all he would be, a cup goalie and bench warmer. He seems like a nice lad, but we don't need nice lads. We need a top quality goalkeeper, end of story and mignolet is not top quality. Average at best with great shot stopping ability which is the minimum your expect from a goalkeeper. If we fail to get a new goalkeeper we can forget about 'challenging for the league'.

As far as wing backs its the price we pay when we want them to join the attack and that's the style we are playing. Yes we need to tighten up but if the wing backs go up and get caught out a holding midfield should be there to drop in and help the back line surly.

{Ed001's Note - but you are missing the point. Even when Moreno does get into position he can't defend or stop a cross. At this level, every player should be able to do basic defensive duties, let alone a member of the defensive line.}

Moreno had more assists than Coutinho which is a fact. He is miles better than Danny rose now fighting for a title. People need to learn a bit ore about the overall game and stop abusing certain players when other are equally average at their duties.

Would love to see a fellow Swede in red. Ludwig Augustinsson from FC Copenhagen would solve our left fullback issue. Solid defender, still gets assists, decent at set pieces. Think we had a look last summer. Go get him Jürgen!
