For a moment if you believe what he says, He is still a poor Manager which is a truth.

Thought he said he couldn't decide which players the committee considered in first place rather than suggesting he didn't have final say.

Thanks ed.

{Ed001's Note - sorry, didn't mean to rant, just really sick of his moronic face everywhere I look today. He should have been sacked months before he went, now we all have to put up with him trying to blame someone else for everything until he gets another job. He was happy enough to take the credit for everything good that happened, so the least he can do is take the blame for all his own cock ups.}

Have to say watching goals on Sunday with him was rather painful and he seemed to lack general knowledge about players/ teams in the Prem which would back up what's been said that he doesn't immerse himself in football certainly not the way an aspiring top manager should.

I'm in agreement. God help the next club he finds to believe his bs. The rants are good to read 😁
At least you know what you are talking about.

{Ed001's Note - I just find it disturbing how someone so clueless got the job in the first place. It just shows that patter works, because that is all he has.}

Where do you see Brodge go next ed?

{Ed001's Note - that is a good question, his ego and monstrous wage demands have ruled him out of all the jobs that have come up so far. Maybe he could replace Gary Neville at Valencia and achieve his Spanish football dream?}

I wonder how he views himself to demand such wages. He's took over a club which had potential to be great again, and didn't Improve it from a pretty low starting block.

At least he put to bed the BS the media reported about his relationship with Sterling. He wouldn't lie on tv watched by millions, because Sterling would then deny that they are still in contact. If you believe what he said regarding the transfer committee just shows what a shambolic mess we are in. The thing that really pi**ed me off was that we missed Deli Ally. According to Rodgers, MK Dons manager wanted him to go to Liverpool, Deli Ally wanted to come to Liverpool and Rodgers wanted him to come to Liverpool. But the faceless wonders in the back ground couldn't get the deal done. You don't lie about things like that because too many people could contradict him if he did.

{Ed001's Note - and yet he was in the position to make the decision, so not sure how he can blame others.}

Obligatory defense of Rodgers

(thought that would save time as no one would listen to me anyway)

We need to move on, we have more important things to worry about at LFC.

I think brods points are he wouldn't always compile the list of players he was choosing from even though he had the final say.

He said about Ali that basically he had done everything he could and it was up to the money men (ayre) to get the financial deal over the line like he does with every other one. So having a pop at him saying it was his decision is redundant. If he identifies a player he wants but the club don't believe there getting true value or they don't trust his judgement over another figure at the club then he can say sign him all he wants but its never going to get done.

I think tbh it was one of brendan's most level interviews compared to how he normally bangs on.

Its like when Av came out claiming he didn't sing spurs 7 wonders and the club said he did and then later backtracked and admitted it wasn't all down to avb.

If Brendan goes in now and lies he tarnishes himself even more if the club want to respond. I don't see them letting him lie on national television. I think he's told the truth and even down to transfers he said he always had the final say but not on the list conpiles so texhinalky the player coming in was and wasn't his choice.

Shaqiri, montero and markovic. He might choose Marko but really he wanted lallana but he wasn't on the list provided to him.

They alls elect players at the start of the campaign and follow them up throughout and compile a final lsit come the end of the year. I know for a fact firmino was signed through the sheer belief from the scouts who watched him, they made the move happen, he was t a Brendan choice.

Its just ridiculous, 3 months and its still an issue. Either give the coach control or don't, I don't get thus 50/ 50.
