So the kid paid his fine in Pennies. The loan club should have accepted it, then paid his next wage in Pennies as well.

{Ed013's Note - Money is money what ever the form Andy, funny, but cost him his loan}

Ed there is a difference between funny and taking the p**s. He showed total lack of respect to that club

Gotta be honest, i really don't see the big deal.
It was a completely harmless prank, chances are he had £50 in notes on him ready to hand over.
I think he probably regrets his actions but I doubt he thought for one moment it would come to this. I at least wouldn't have seen this coming!
He is young and he will learn. Stevie G and Carra were far from angels.

I think a bit of reading between the lines is required, Swindon were obviously disappointed with his attitude, that's why he was fined. They would have wanted him to say sorry, pay the fine and promise not to do it again.

Instead they got a petulant response from him showing disrespect for their discipline process, pretty much the opposite of what they expected. I am not remotely surprised they cancelled his loan.

I hope he learns a lesson from this and doesn't walk away thinking he's the victim.

{Ed002's Note - Exactly.}

If an 18 year old kid turned up late for work in most other jobs, was rightly reprimanded, and then made it publicly clear that he treated the whole issue as a joke, that would set alarm bells ringing about his whole attitude.

Who the hell does this lad think he is, that he can disrespect a club who have agreed to make him part of their league campaign, by treating their disciplinary measures as a joke? He has done nothing, achieved nothing, and he acts like a big time charlie because he earns more money than the local club's own players?

It also reflects badly on lfc, but my guess is that it may be a more widespread issue among highly paid under 21s these days.

I'm annoyed that we have a lad with such a poor attitude still on the books to be honest, those are the kinds of players who can cause friction and unrest among the squad.

Actually, £50 worth of pennies is not legal tender and does not have to be accepted.

5p - for any amount not exceeding £5

2p - for any amount not exceeding 20p

1p - for any amount not exceeding 20p

according to royal mint

You don`t make up for messing up by messing up again. That`s just stupid and childish. Hopefully for him he`s learnt his lesson
