Question for ed002 if I may.

I know Barella has been discussed to death but there has been recent reports out of Italy that Liverpool have made a bid.

Now while I realise that is most likely not the case - if the circumstances have changed - could you please give us an update on the player?

Don't be surprised of a significant offer from Newcastle or PSG or a further approach from Real Madrid - but Inter don't wish to sell and would no doubt demand something towards €100M or so. Liverpool or Spurs may show an interest but Inter have not been approached by either although they have sent scouts. The player does not wish to leave and is expected to sign a new contract. Long term interest of Chelsea went with the player wanting to stay in Italy - although they could yet try to persuade him otherwise and have spoken with Ale Beltrami who acts as an intermediary. Wildcard may be an approach form Manchester United who have instructed a third party to enquire on their behalf.}

We all see links to him every day but there’s no need to read them now that you’ve told us it’s around €100 mill. Not a chance that is happening!

It does raise an interesting point about how Thuram and Mac Allister would be used. I think some see Khephren as a successor to Hendo on the right of the midfield, others as a challenger to Fabinho and others as a more advanced left sided 8.

Barella would be a great buy. Think he's far too expensive as we still need a cb but him and macallister would make us serious challengers again.

Barella a good player but too small. We need some height in the middle now we’ve added macallister. Him and Barella similar types of players.

Seen him play a few times and as I saw towards end of the season he is bang average at best.

The worrying thing is, if Barella is bang average what does that make our midfield? Because he’s better than every single one of them.

Barella walks into most starting 11's in world football, not sure what you guys are smoking! Outstanding player, he makes watching Inter (2nd team, long story) a joy.
