Great result last night. Was at the back of the Annie Road with my lad - been a while, but loved it.

Mac excellent throughout; Robbo's introduction changed the game, but a word for Virj, Ibou and Joe who i thought were very good.

And how can you not love Captain Chaos?

TT, I thought Gakpo (even before his goal) looked very sharp and gave us a spark. Took his goal well. Dare I say, this is one game where I think every single player who came on gave us a jolt in energy and quality, IMO.

Gomez was at fault for their goal and we lacked width due him being out of position. Other than that agree with everything else you said though. Robbo, Virg, Ibou and Nunez were superb. As was Macca and also I thought Szoboszlai had his best game for some time. Unlucky not to come away with a goal and an assist, but for 2 good saves from Grbic.

Cheers Oli and MK, i agree that all of the subs were superb last night - really helped us get a vital win.

And on another night, Slob scores one and makes one.

I mentioned Joe as he was asked to play 2 positions, neither of which are natural to him. Maybe he dived in a bit for their goal, but that was his only mistake of the night - and to be fair, that move started further up the pitch with Diaz and Nunez botching a break.

Anyway, a good win and great to be there.

Tricky Gomez gave the ball away quite a bit last night and I thought he went in extremely half hearted for their goal.

Not a slating of him as I thought he done lots right as well but just an honest opinion of what I saw.

Gomez was not on it, TT. He just looked tried and seemed to be stretching on every ball, slack in his passing and dived in a bit too much into challenges as the one that led to the goal proves. He's been splendid for us overall BUT thatwas not his best game esp. when he switched to DM which made it even more complicated as that's where we lost control.

Agree Oli, Joe looked a split second off the pace.

Also time for me to eat another slice of humble pie. I was vocal about Darwin not being ‘up to it’ earlier in the season. I have to say I was ‘spot off’. The lad is a constant threat to the opposition either in terms of goal attempts or running the opposition ragged making space for the rest of out attack to use. Happy to admit that I was was way, way off the mark on this one.
