Morning. One for the Ed's if they would oblige please.
Missed the game yesterday whilst at a wedding, not seen highlights or anything yet.
So, WTF happened yesterday, what is happening to our once invisible team and can we rescue anything this season? What needs to happen?
Obviously injuries aren't helping but why so many? Ageing midfield not helping but the way we are playing isn't the Liverpool way IMO. Is Pep having too much say on the training ground?
Lots of stuff bouncing round my head this morning. I feel empty. So any opinions from the respected and knowledgeable Editors, really would be appreciated.

{Ed033's Note - Ed001 provided a lengthy response on his opinion on what's up with the Liverpool team. It's temporarily pinned as the top post on the LFC discussions page

The fact that Bajcetic and Naby Keita are in our strongest midfield. That tells you all you need to know about our problems mate.
It’s plain as day, people try to complicate it but it’s very simple. Transfers.
Look at United for instance, for years they needed a midfielder and a centre back. Constantly persisting with McTominay, Fred and Maguire. They finally sign Casemiro and Martinez and become instantly better, our problem is the midfield.
But as the years go on, from what started as One midfielder is now 3 midfielders. And in summer will need a Central Defender. So the more we ignore it, the worse we get.
We’ll finish 13th, sign a couple midfielders in summer and finish 4th. Play it off like a big achievement when we could’ve signed 2 nobodys in January and finished 4th anyway right now. The Clubs a mess.
