So seasons done finally.
What are our aims for next season?

I'd want the league back personally. May be one of the cups too and a good run in CL.
As of now we have a good team and maybe with couple of bench additions we could even win the CL but as if now its a well balanced team with depth to win the league.
if we sell keita and ox then need a midfielder to push the first three.

I am not confident with the market ed. Too many players are very overpriced and we almost have 8-9 players we need to move on priority. With the euros in between i don't think we will have enough time do get our deals done and everybody needs players this year.

{Ed0666's Note - I think are worrying without foundation mate. Agents/managers would have known for a while who is available and I think after the euros you will see a heap of transfers especially late on. Also with crowds for next season there’s more certainty of finances.

Morning all, delighted with third in the end and the Konate signing. Midfield is a tricky area. We have enough bodies but I would bet good money all of them will be injured at some stage. Ox will be kept due to him being home gone. If we can only afford one player it would be an AM for me. Goals win games and we have an issue in that area atm.

I hope you are right mate and we can squeeze out two more signings out 9f now where. Will surely boost the sqaud and new players new energy.
I think both jota and thiago will be big next season. And with VVD returning that's a whole new energy for the backline.
All our front three also ended the season in form so that's good too. I am quite pumped for the next season, really think we can win it.

I'm confident we'll win the league next year. The schedule will be back to normal, more time for training, centre backs will be infinitely better than this year, and that will allow full backs and midfield to function better, which will in turn allow the forwards to return. This is the season to allow the players who played 5-10 games a season to go, replace them with youth and a couple of new prospects who will all be hungry when they get a chance to play, and we'll be golden. The team that played most of the season, with Virg and konate, is more than capable of winning the league. I also think losing the cl final will linger with man City for a while, I think they'll have a slow start.

There are a lot of reasons to be positive about. And I think salah has also signed a new deal and so has fabinho. So that's great.
No negatives i know i have been hyper negative on konate but now that we have him i am all for supporting the lad.
I feel good and we have nice momentum going into next season.

All other clubs i can't say arsenal and Tottenham are out of it for now. City I don't know if they can do it back to back. United well with ole there is no chance. So our major competition should be chelsea and they also have a strong team but our t3am has been together now what for 4 or 5 seasons. So we should have the edge.
With the fans back in anfield will be buzzing so i think number 20 shall be rolling in.

Phew! That's a relief Akira I thought city would be competitive next year and a problem but now that we only have to worry about Chelsea I like our odds.

Imagine if we have replica of this season next season (God forbid), If Salah, Mane, Firmino and Jota got injured? The manager and club admin supposed to be asking themselves what could go wrong. As for me we need a complete striker, that will save us from the agony of so many attempts without goals. Also, a coutinho like midfielder that could help us to unlock defences with dribbling techniques especially when those small teams are packing the long bus in their defense. Those are the lessons we should draw from the just ended season. YNWA.

Yes you are right Sir, But in case he got injured or suspended or we need more attacking effort from the midfield? Curtis Jones has also got that kind of talent.
