How have you been mate of late?

Wanted your thoughts on the Community Shield coming up. I know it's a glorified friendly but do you think we will go as full strength as we can or maybe some valuable minutes for Jones, Elliott and the likes of?

{Ed001's Note - it really depends on fitness levels, but I would expect Klopp to go as strong as he can to try and win it. There are 2 weeks after it before the season starts if I remember rightly, so plenty of time to recover afterwards.}

Isn't the Community shield normally played 1 week before the new season? Is there any reason why this year its 2 weeks before? If anything it further undermines a competition that teams normally use as a glorified friendly anyway.

Ed001 A couple of international in between not the best preparation for all the teams. Hope there in no injuries picked up playing in them stupid nation league games.

Read something, not sure how true it is, that due to UK quarantine rules from other countries that clubs might not have to release players. Can you shed any light on this Ed's?

{Ed002's Note - If a player is in quarantine before the internationals clubs can say they are not releasing players. Exemptions (such as Liverpool were given returning from Austria) can be made regarding entering quarantine on return - but they are now being questioned.}

I think Klopp said last year he couldn't understand why it wasn't viewed as a cup final in England. So I expect he'll take it seriously and pick his strongest side. The only deviations from the strongest XI available I can see are Tsimikas (for 90 competitive minutes to bed in) and Brewster because of how well he's done in pre-season.

But honestly, I don't think we'll even see that.

Ed001 do you no what injuries we have mate ahead of the game other than Ox and Hendo? Is Trent ok now?

{Ed001's Note - Virgil has an injury but should be ok to play. Trent, Hendo, Wilson, Hoever and Matip are doubtful, maybe even very doubtful. Ox is defo out.}

Klopp always tries to win every game he plays regardless of the stakes. In the CS for me, it is all about how well we play and what our system will look like.

I remember last season that tho we "lost" on penalties, we completely batter City in that second half and could have put 3/ 4 past them with the way we just punished them physically and wore them down.

That is what gave me confidence going into the season cos we showed City that we would be in their faces all season long. Guess City did not get the memo and well, we know the rest. If we can play as well as we did vs City last season then, I will be fine regardless of result.
