Controversial opinion here. but.

Is there any genuine interest in Salah? If we could get £100m+ in the summer I think we should snap their hand off.

He's very predictable and his first touch is shocking, I think he's cost us a few points this season and think we should sell ASAP.

Cmon, you're just seeking attention posting that drivel.

i agree. been watching for awhile now and he cannot hold the ball up. can't see how Klop played in as a CF. seems he relies on his pace more than anything else. there was so many games when he could have squared the ball to play Mane in and he goes for goal. if his agent is still punting Real, then we should consider.

Seriously?
What is wrong with our fans? Have you seen how good that City squad is? The fact that we have managed to keep pace with them till now is an indication of how much we have improved in the last 18 months and Mo Salah has been an integral part of that progress. We are still fighting for the two big trophies and here we have you who cannot wait to get rid of one of our best players!

Salah is a player that any team would love to have but I am not a fan of his world class tag!

£100 plus? Go back to bed and wake up properly.

To compete we need to bring in more top class players, not sell them and try to replace like we have done in the past. City are proving that you can have a squad of absolute quality, whilst keeping everyone happy, getting them all plenty of minutes and competing in all competitions. Imagine Sterling, Coutinho and Suarez in this current squad. Instead we have had to sell them players to fund the ones we have. Its like having a sports car and selling the engine to buy new shiny wheels.

He’s a good player, not world class. His reluctance to use his right foot cost us the game yesterday and was missing the whole utd game.

I just think we can profit from his reputation at the moment as I can’t see him getting the form of last season back.

And you see £100 million plus as a reasonable amount for what he brings all in to the club?

If we held out for the coutinho fee let me tell you we will hold out for a world record fee for Salah no doubt.

You're a troll take yourself off and go bore someone else.

Geez I have no idea what people what. if he scores next game he would become the fastest ever player to get to 50 goals for a single club in PL history!

The guy is not absolutely perfect, but no player we could ever replace him with would be either, and arguably anyone else would have a lot more flaws that slightly preferring his left foot and having the occasional blip in form.

If that wasn’t enough, Salah is humble and fantastic human being (rare in this sport), and an role model that has done wonders for the image and popularity of the club.

By yea, why don’t we sell him.

Salah is going to have off games, he’s a human being. The minute he stops performing the way he is expected justifies why you should criticise his entire character? The lads been an absolute beast for us since he joined. Of course we all noticed he didn’t score yesterday and that was disappointing; what about the other 49 goals he’s scored in less than two seasons? Clearly a team of Messi’s is the benchmark for LFC. What sheer ignorance.

I’ve never questioned his character, I’m questioning his ‘world class’ status. I think he’s become easy to defend against, get tight, don’t let him turn and he then offers very little.

I like him as a man, but my point was I see him declining further in performances and we should get as much for him now as we can before he fades away.

I said it was controversial.

Plenty have gotten tight and landed on their arse for their troubles, and he turned Everton inside out a couple of times.

I think he’s extremely difficult to defend against even when not as his best, the problem is more that his finishing technique isn’t always as clinical as it should be, but he almost always creates chances which is why he scores so many goals. I think he’ll just get better as his finishing gets better.

He scored 17 goals this season in the EPL alone, Agüero arguably the best striker in the League scored 18. Salah has more assists, more big chances created than Kun. Salah has more through balls and more touches per game than Aguero. That's not the sign of a predictable player, if this was his first season we'd be happy with his levels. I've watched him play before he joined and last season was by far the best his ever been consistently, to expect this every season is ridiculous.

Op6 I don’t agree with your post mate but please don't take yourself somewhere else to bore them as 1 superior fan quoted. Without your original comment this discussion wouldn’t have happened in the first place and then I would have most certainly been bored.

OP, give it a rest now. It is becoming boring. Someone else (Canadian Scouse, I think) already posted that drivel last night and got rinsed for speaking utter tosh or are you said poster in disguise?

Salah had an incredible season last season.
He has struggled this season, I think his confidence took a huge knock in the champions league final.

I don’t think he’s world class, but then very few players get into that bracket for me. He misses a lot of chances but he gets so many that the misses are overlooked. His pace is the reason he gets so many chances.

If he wanted to go and we got a huge offer I wouldn’t lose any sleep. He’s not irreplaceable and I honestly think we’ve seen the best of him already.

Whilst he wants to stay, I’ll back him all day long 👍.
