Hi Eds,

Thanks a lot as this is the only place where I come looking for Liverpool related transfer news.

I have a few questions which I would like you to answer:

1) We are in the right direction under Klopp! ☺ I wish he was appointed after the end of 2014-15 season which could have given him a transfer window to sign the players he wanted. Was it because the board wanted to give Rodgers another chance to see if he could turn it around or simply because the preferred replacements weren't available?

2) How much exactly have we paid for Keita? Only the Express say it's 64m pounds and the others just say an extra 'premium'.

3) Could you please do a player profile on VVD, Lemar, Keita and Salah? Maybe I am wrong but based on what I have seen so far, sometimes I feel Salah is a bit selfish going for goal when a pass could be the better option! 🙂 What do you think?

Cheers.

Vinu

{Ed002's Note - (1) It is unimportant now. Klopp has noit done significantly better in terms of results. (2) I won't know until the TMS is completed when the transfer goes ahead. (3) Ask Ed001.}

Statistically maybe by win percentage but the reds play some of the best soccer around. Once the necessary players are secured the results will happen and the silverware will be won. It is my humble opinion that Kloop is the best manager in football that is active. I really have complete confidence in his ability. If he is given the weapons the results will happen.

{Ed001's Note - it also must be remembered that Klopp took over a club destroyed by Rodgers, with a team that was shattered and had no confidence at all in themselves. Rodgers took over a team that was still high in confidence and feeling they were going place. That is a major difference that is always forgotten. Win percentages are meaningless bollox, just another pointless stat without context.}

I think it a skewed analysis if you compare Rodgers' 3 years and a bit at the club to Klopp's almost 2 years at the club, particularly if results are being compared.

Completely agree with Ed001. Win percentage is one of the most meaningless stats out there when not compared with context. We didn't win a bean under Rodgers, and won hardly any big matches, either. Conversely, Klopp outwits other top managers and teams at the drop of a hat, there is no question he's leagues and leagues ahead of Rodgers.

ED02

You are off your trolley mate if you don't think Klopp is better than BR.

You seem a bright person so am puzzled at why you keep having a go at every opportunity with Klopp.

Please explain

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I didn't say that - why don't you find someone to read the post to you.}

Hi Ed002/Ed001,

I had asked about the probable candidates for DOF to look after our football strategy in case we appoint one. Ed002 answered saying that rather than appointing the best candidate, we would look who is the best fit for our club. I would like to know some names in the Eds' minds. (Would also appreciate the managers that could work under them like Johan Cryuff + Frank de Boer) Also, what do you think of Frank Arnesen?

Thanks

Vinu

{Ed002's Note - You need to go back and look at what I have said repeatedly. The owners are looking at a much bigger picture.}

Hi Ed001, Ed002

If we were to bring a DOF who would be looking after our football strategy, who do you think is most likely?

Also, could you please mention the best in business for this particular role?

Thanks in advance

Vinu

{Ed002's Note - Nothing is agreed at this time, but if a DoF did arrive then they may well take responsibility for the strategy. There is no way to measure who is "the best" at this Vinu, and it would be more of a case of who would be the best fit for the club.}

Hi Eds and fellow Reds,

Have been following this site since 2010.
Really sad to see our club not doing well. :(

With all talks of DOF appointment, I would like to know about some who have acted in this role or would be ready to take this role apart from Cryuf, Baldini, Begistran, Leonardo etc.

Can Luciano Moggi be called as a DOF for what he was doing at Juventus?
Also would Glen Hoddle be available for such a role?

In case our manager gets sacked, would Steve Clark be ready for a caretaker role?

I respect Ed001 and Ed002 for their consistency here. Thanks

Vinu

{Ed002's Note - You would need to tell me the remit of this DOF before I can suggest who it would be. Why would Stevie return to the club who sacked him?}
