Away from transfer deadline day, I was wondering if you could outline, aside from potential non-compliance with FFP and the associated penalties, how serious is the club's financial situation and in what way?
What should the club be doing to resolve this (if anything) and are they doing anything to put the club on a stronger footing (aside from the stadium
Extension)?

Ed, isn't it that if payment terms in excess of three years are agreed, the FFP break-even calculation must be restated to amortise the fee over three years? I may be wrong but I was under the impression they could agree whatever terms they like but the profit or loss calculation will have to reflect a three year term.
{Ed001's Note - no there was an issue with clubs like Portsmouth mortgaging the future paying for players over immensely long terms, so there was a cap on length of payment terms to avoid another situation like they underwent. That was what caused their problems in the main.}

Bad as he's been, he's scored three or four winners and another couple that have got us points. Comparing him to Balotelli is beyond stupid and ridiculously short sighted. He's played like a mid table centre forward for us. Balotelli was, and is, a bottom six centre forward.
