Eds, first time post here. With the clubs ongoing search for a left back I wondered if Klopp would consider checking Gomez's fitness and ability during pre-season. I thought he did really well during his first season with us until he got injured and we did use him on the left side of a back three so to speak. He's deceptively quick, strong, tall for a left back and good on the ball.

True ed but it's not that unlikely gomez could be kept as back up with the view he can comfortably play at left back as well as cb.

{Ed001's Note - he was never comfortable at left back, he struggled once clubs had a chance to take a look at him playing there and spot weaknesses.}
