Personally I would love to see Alonso arrive in the summer (always was a dreamer lol) Don't think we need Ince, yes he's doing well in the Championship but will he be better than what we have? Downing is actually playing pretty good - can't believe i'm saying that lol but in fairness he has really knuckled down over the last few months - and I think Sterling will be good in that role too. With Ibe still to come through the ranks, I honestly think we're ok there.
Have thought if we got someone like Alonso, Stevie G could possibly be pushed into the role Downing now occupies? He played some of his best footie with Alonso behind him running the midfield and the guy knows where the goal is.
Defence will obviously be the priority, given the likely departures haven't seen too much of the names being talked about and could see a surprise signing here, possibly a CB from Spain. Williams could be decent alongside Agger and with Kelly due back, Wisdom doing ok and possibly Sama stepping up (looks the part this guy) we could be ok.

tbh mate you're prob right though I kinda like the stance the club are taking - think City will bid again closer to the 50 mil and we'll accept ok - crazy money like but English players def go for a lot more than they are prob worth, think back to the like of 18mil for Bentley, the 35mil for Carroll etc etc

Chris in all seriousness, what do you think of your team this season? Yous seem to be getting the results mostly but the play must be frustrating (i'm a pool fan in a family of utd fans btw lol) - personally as most here would agree, our form was awful at the start of the season, no pressing etc but we are playing some decent stuff at times (Besiktas apart), scoring goals again and keeping clean sheets - the league this year though does seem to be competitive in that everybody beats everybody, which is why only really Chelsea look like pulling away - and, more importantly, hows the wee one getting on?
Couldn't believe it when PC came off! Was playing well too and was the one player that looked like he would play the killer ball! Woulda took SG of imo, sorry to see Lucas go off as well

You're probably not wrong Irish Rover, shame though because i'd like to see Ilori in our starting line up, guy has pace to burn and can play the ball - surely fits our system?!! - Wisdom too I would,ve liked to have been given a shot this season and thought Toure was our best CB when he played, had a really calming influence at the back, def a leader
