Ed's - do you think that Real are waiting to conclude their deal for Bale before moving for Suarez? It feels that, without selling Ronaldo back to Utd, 150 million+ for two players is a stretch even for Madrid. Finally, do you see any scenario which might see Suarez U turn and stay, or do you think he is totally gone bar the right offer?
Cheers {Ed002's Note - I would not link the two transfers. Real Madrid have a number of players that are being sold or are available for sale. They have pretty much covered the £53M spent on Isco and Illarramendi by the sales of Higuain, Callejon and Albiol to Napoli. There are others such as Coentrao and Di Maria that will be making way for other players they will be looking to bring in. I don't see Ronaldo moving back to Manchester United this summer.}

Tell you what, Mickey Edwards is a total baller! Some great business being done before WC kicks off. If we can add a keeper and some depth to the front 3 we’ll have a squad that has the potential to really challenge! Trying not to get too excited but it’s really hard when you see the potential in this team! Let’s hope Sparky’s Cryptic clue is pointing us in the direction of our new keeper.

The one about hiding behind the chair? I would really luke to se us getting Alisson, and Pulusic for the wide positions. You wouldn't hear a peep from me for years to come then!

Definitely an upgrade in the negotiating department not sure how he’s doing in the marketing department compared to Ian ayre but then again I have little knowledge on the financial side of the club. Maybe the owners are just more prepared to back Klopp and go that extra step to get him the players he wants or maybe we just have a better sporting director now. I’ll go with the latter but due to a lack of knowledge.

Let me get this straight. VVD was being considered as one of the missing pieces for our team. Now we've signed him, fans are questioning the merits of signing hinand questioning his quality? For gods sake let's get behind the lad! He's not even kicked a ball for us yet and we are trying to decide if he's worth it? With the imminent arrival of Balotelli and the possible departure of Borini does anyone still see another player coming in? Some reports are still suggesting Eto may still be a possibility? Does anyone know if Macca's final prediction regarding Konoplyanka has any legs? This could turn out to be a massively pivotal window for us.

I can't see Mahrez having the kind of work ethic that would appeal to Klopp so I'd be interested to see what the eds think of this?

Rudder - give it a rest mate. I would have loved a new signing as would many on this site, but it’s looking unlikely. It’s not as though the owners have pulled a Mike Ashley and not backed us. They’ve developed Anfield, the training ground, locked down many of our best players and brought in one of the hottest young CB’s around all within the last year and under massive financial constraints following C.V.. They are trying to run a financially responsible business model. They aren’t oil rich oligarchs or Princes. They are business men. We aren’t in bad shape let’s be honest here. Let’s not be rash. Support the team or your comments on this site aren’t welcome.
