Aside from yesterdays game - I'm interested to see what people think about Stevie G's comments recently regarding BR.

There is much negativity on this site about BR, yet Stevie said

"I wish I'd met Brendan when I was 24 because I think I'd be sitting here talking about a lot of titles that we'd won together, " he said.

"Brendan came into this club when I was 32 years of age and it's a shame that relationship didn't start 10 years ago."

Clearly he rates him highly . thoughts ?

{Ed001's Note - you mean comments made to the club's official website about his current boss were complimentary? Who would have thought it?}

1.) I'll Wait for Gerrards book, lol

2.) He spoke in a way that he believes Rogers can win us leagues I don't think he was forced and he could have said something nice with out saying he would have won leagues ed

3.) Gerrard also said Glen Johnson is the best right-back he's ever played with.

An all-round brainiac, eh.

Well he is hardly likely to say - I'm off, Brendan is clueless, so good luck to you as you are really going to need it!

5.) Didn't Gerrard also say "I've seen Joe Cole do things Messi does"

Not having ago, just saying he comes across ass not exactly being the best judge of talent :p

I'd love for Gerrard to become an ambassador or something for the club once he hangs up his boots.

I'd rather that than a coach, simply because his pulling power commercially will still be huge, not only that, I just don't think he'd be that effective as a coach or manager. Carragher however is a different story, he should still be involved in football on a coaching level of some sort, the guy is just a football brain with legs.

{Ed002's Note - Joe Cole has always and continues to do things Messi does. Gerrard was correct.}

This year began with optimism, then we had some brilliant football, extraordinary goals, amazing victories, leading up to " we go again ", followed by heartbreak for our team our the manager of the year.

Then more biting - only this time on the international stage, huge transfers and injury and a poor first half of the season.

How 4 and bit months can change everything - now, according to some, Gerrard is finished, Suso, who doesn't play is the best player we've got ( apparently ) ! And our manager is clueless and out of his depth according to many.

Lets hope the next four months are better, let's hope we climb the table and let's hope that some of the negative banter on here lessens.

Merry Xmas all,

Went to the game last night - a couple of points.

Markovic really isn't a left wing back. pretty much all the attacks that Bournemouth had came because they got in behind him and down the side of Lovren and / or Sakho.

He looked great on the ball, has some pace and looked like he was getting some confidence - but I think we should be trying to get him further up the pitch as he really cannot defend.

Also there were times when he was faced with just a full back to beat, but as he's so right footed he had to turn back and play inside and slow any momentum down - I think Moreno would have offered more, and had a better understanding of the role.

Thought we attacked well, especially in the first half, but Lallana ran out of steam in the last 20 and I'm just glad we were playing a Championship team.

They created some outstanding chances that I think a premier league side would have taken and left us in trouble.

Better performance but against slightly poorer opposition, who left 4 of their main players out - we really need to find a way to be more solid when we are defending !

Eds, and any others that may know.

Do you know what Liverpool's travel plans are today . I live 50 miles from Bournemouth and have tickets for the game. Last season at the FA cup game I took my son to the hotel the players were in and he got his shirt signed by plenty of them - he was gob smacked to meet his hero's, Suarez, PipCo, were two that stand out as happy and humble.

I'm guessing that as its an evening kick off they might just fly down and fly straight back which would make getting some time with them difficult - if anyone has any inside knowledge that would be appreciated.

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know Terry.}

all,

If anyone had tickets for the Sunderland game and now cannot go as it has been re arranged then please let me know - I am looking for 2 and happy to negotiate a fair price.

Whilst I appreciate this isn't a ticket exchange site, if there is anyone out there and the Eds can help me out with email addresses that would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help
