Just wanna asks ed's if possible, are deals to include add-ons for appearances or trophies more common now in transfers or have they always be in place. Also have
you known of a player been limited to game time to avoid add-on payments. Cheers in advance.

Fowler93

{Ed001's Note - they have always been in place and it has happened numerous times.}

Question to ed's if possible. Under the current structure with Rogers in charge and players used continually out of position what would you see as a realistic league position in coming season?
Also with the same squad and imminent changes to coaching do you think a new manager would be able to get more out of the squad and challenge for champions league slot and trophies on regular basis?
Cheers ed's in advance

Fowler93

{Ed001's Note - realistic? Top half. Though I hope top 4, as that is a realistic aim with the squad we have. A good manager would do more yes.}

Ed001 you seem to have changed your mind. A few months ago you said Liverpool had a better squad then Man Utd and arsenal and I'd expect them 2 to finish top 4 so if liverpool really have got a better squad than them 2 then realistically they should finish top 4?

As I said at the time Liverpools squad is not as good as arsenals or uniteds

{Ed001's Note - you obviously never read the question, I was asked about a realistic finish under Rodgers, not a realistic finish with the quality of squad, which I clearly said was top 4. Try reading properly before spouting off. Our squad is overloaded now, whereas neither Arsenal nor Man Utd have a good back up if their first choice is out injured.}

2.) 22 Jun 2015 20:30:20
I think the season finished is the worst we could have done. With a little change here and there we could and should be doing better. Everything that could go wrong last season did go wrong. Bad start, Injured forwards, wrong ones purchased, players played out of position, defence STILL not sorted, i could go one and we finished 6th. We can easily do better.

3.) 22 Jun 2015 21:03:48
All those things you mentioned could have been rectified with adequate planning and strategy, none of which exists under the current setup and a manager who seems to make things up as he goes along because after three years and a squad he has built, he still doesn`t know his best eleven nor his best system hence, playing players aout of position in order to see what sticks. All clubs have injuries, dips in form and the lot which is why you use the offseason to plan and prepare which we are aweful at. That is not the way to success. Yopu need to plan otherwise you are planning to fail

Think you need to take your red tinted specs off ed. Man Utd and arsenals second teams are far ahead of Liverpools. Liverpool do have some great backups if there players are out injured.
Bogdan instead of mignolet
Allen instead of Henderson
Ings instead of Sturridge

Liverpool have a really unbalanced squad. In my opinion they need 4 players for the 1st 11 never mind saying they have the backup required if the first 11 get injured.

{Ed001's Note - why is it Allen? What about Milner, or Can or Rossiter? You clearly have a blinkered view if you think United, who have been stuck playing a winger as a right back most of the season, have good back ups. Who do they have? Come on, stop talking nonsense and actually name their back ups that are so good. As for Arsenal, what the hell have they to do with anything? We only need to finish above one of the top four, not two. There is nothing unbalanced about the Liverpool squad at all, there are far too many players, not too few. The manager is the issue not the players.}

5.) 22 Jun 2015 22:00:50
Isn't it as simple as us having a fit player who can score his fair whack of goals?

With the chances created, a decent striker would have banged in twenty goals.

Naive, maybe, but true.

6.) 22 Jun 2015 22:34:01
A fit goal scorer would go a long way Davey.

7.) 23 Jun 2015 11:10:50
Indeed the manager is the issue, not the players.

A good manager would get quite a bit more out of the players we have.
Playing them in their natural positions for a start and not imposing a system a certain in-place manager wants to prove.

There are a number of top class managers that could be available.

Over to you FSG.

If we continue with Rodgers do we risk losing quality players such as Coutinho and replacing them with potential inexperienced
players from european leagues. Gut feeling is we need stability and a well respected manager with european experience to promote youth players from academy to gain first time experience and to encourage and man manage first team players. I believe that Rodgers is in way over his
head and is using whatever tactics at his disposal to distract or blame. Handling of Lucas is disappointing and agree with ed's first name on teamsheet. don't think Hendo is ready yet and would be keen to know what ed's or other posts think about Milner as interim captain if he does join. Keep the faith!

Couldnt fault your post until the Milner comment. Not sure that a new signing should be made captain. Ever.

2.) 23 May 2015 00:34:01
Another manager bashing hey? Your suggestion to make a player, who hasn't even signed, interim captain, shows a total lack of loyalty to and faith in the players who already wear the strip with pride.

3.) 23 May 2015 01:17:24
Hendo would start in any midfield in England. Maybe Fabregas would keep him out for chelsea. He is one of the only ones who gives heart when needed, as balo sterling are lazy and some others are just not smart enough. Drunk post so possibly wrong.

4.) 23 May 2015 01:46:26
Lucas should be first team squad for sure but IMO so should Hendo. He's been one of our better players

5.) 23 May 2015 12:42:13
Put yourself in Coutinho's shoes. His best mate is eased out of the club and goes to Italy.

How would you feel ?

What would you want to do ?

6.) 23 May 2015 13:19:47
IMO, clubs are watching him because that is what club's do. They watch players and if they see that he is in any way unhappy, they will be hovering and if we are not competing, they will move for him and snap, he'll be gone. Keep screwing the club over, BR and see what your apologists will say then after you have "eased" out all our commited players.

Does anyone else think if we had Bergovic last season we would have topped league?

Bit confused ed's are Liverpool lookin to have four strikers competing for two positions? Agree on trolls as site is full of no marks complaining about players or expectin marque players. Support your team and get behind the boys. All doom and gloom. Think top 3 and good champions league run is realistic. Cheers ed's
