With the incoming addition of Szobolaszai how do people rate our attacking options for the coming year in comparison to the rest of the league? perhaps I’m slightly biased but we have some serious option up front and if they all stay fit and play to there potential we are going to be a serious nightmare for opposition defences…. dare I say the best attacking options in the league?

A bit of a bold, and premature, claim given that we have only Salah as a consistent goal scorer at this point.
The way things appear to be shaping up, however, is that Klopp is looking to widen the options, tactically and player-wise.
The signings also fit this 5 / 5 split in transition and broken play that is all the rage now.
The goals need to be spread around more and not be over reliant on Salah.

Get your point Juicer but every top team has a main goal threat and ours is Mo, I happen to think with the options we have up top that we actually have the potential to have our goals spread out more than many of our top 4 competitors. Maybe with the exception of Arsenal who look to be adding strength in dept. All this could change in a week with the spending power of City and Chelsea.

The technical level of our attack rivals Man City’s as the best in the league, and we have arguably more depth in the final third. As Juicer said, however, Salah is our only consistent goalscorer. If Diaz can increase his output and Nunez’s performances improve, I have not a shred of doubt we will finish in the top 2 at the very least next season. United, Chelsea and Spurs are all terrible, and Arsenal are no match for City or a firing Liverpool.

That’s it Juicer.
We need a clinical finisher in the middle of the front 3.

Don’t know if Darwin is that player.

If he is, we’re set.

The options we have in attack are second to none. I suspect the goals will be shared out more, given we are bringing in midfielders with the legs to provide movement and a goal threat. Remember when our only attacking reserve was Origi? With this lot, I would be less concerned if in a final someone did a Ramos on Salah. People seriously underrate Jota: when fit, he gets goals, and we should hopefully see Diaz back to his best. I honestly don’t know if Nunez will explode, or implode: his instinctive movement is superb, but his decision making less so.

100% Monstersouness, our attack i has so many different strengths IF they perform to the level which the can then we are going to be a nightmare to defend against. We now also have the midfielders to back up our attack and be the supply line that we have missed recently! We have genuine pace, power, technical ability and dynamism that has the Potential to blow teams away we should be very excited. Nunez is somewhat of an unknown quantity so I get peoples apprehensions but he doesn’t need to be our star player he just needs to contribute which I think he will. When I look at City, Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea, Newcastle there attacks are strong but for me more one dimensional or predictable.

We seem to be shaping up to play the 3box3 formation, which it think will be the most attacking set up I have seen as an LFC fan. It’s basically the usually 3 up top supported by 2 x number 10’s from an attacking perspective. Think it’s quite unbalanced and we’ll get countered quite a bit but it should be exciting to watch regardless, especially when we attack.

It’s starting to look quite good on paper isn’t it.
Need the defence to be sorted though.

I think our attack looks absolutely superb myself.

Diaz and Jota for the LW position are very different but both carry a legitimate threat. At 26/ 27 they're only just coming into their prime years now which is exciting. Diaz in a more indirect way. He commits defenders and drives the team forward. Jota on the other hand looks inferior but just churns out goals and assists at a rate only Salah can really better.

In ST position we have Gakpo and Nunez who are again, very different. Gakpo is you archetypal False 9 and is basically a Firmino-regen in the making. Whereas Nunez is more in the Torres mould and either wants to run in behind or attack a cross. Both players have bags of potential despite being 23 years old and it's fantastic we have the variation but also the competition.

RW is not really a competition given Salah is the highest scoring winger in world football every year since Messi, Mbappe and Ronaldo changed positions. We are so lucky to have Salah and I really hope he stays another 5-7 years and hunts down Ian Rush. The guy is a physical specimen fully capable of going to his mid-late 30's with modern sports science. In reserve we have 17 year old Doak who is just a kid but a really exciting one.

Right side AM we now have Dom Szoboszlai and Elliott. Dom is an international captain at 22 and one of the premium attacking midfielders in European football the last 2 years. Whilst Elliott is an extremely talented young man who is still only 19 himself. Being able to rotate them will be a huge bonus to keeping them fresh across a long Europa League season.

Then left AM we now have Mac Allister and Jones. 24 and 22 years old respectively. Mac is a world cup winner who proved he was able to get on the same wavelength as a player as supreme as Messi. Whilst Jones was just starting to find his goalscoring touch at the back end of the season.

You look at those 10 players for the 5 attacking positions and it's hard not to be excited. I think they need to prove they are better than the 10 attacking players Arsenal and City have before we say ours are the best.

Arsenal; Martinelli, Jesus, Saka, Odegaard, Havertz, Smith-Rowe, Nketiah, Viera, Nelson, Trossard

City; Haaland, Grealish, Mahrez, Alvarez, Foden, De Bruyne, Silva, Palmer, McAtee, Delap

Liverpool; Jota, Diaz, Nunez, Gakpo, Salah, Doak, Jones, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Elliott

It's certainly close when you put it down on paper but I think its hard to look past City whilst Haaland is scoring enough goals for 2 or 3 players. Saka and Martinelli are also both very young and should score even more next season. Should be an exciting season.

Bus parkers are going to have much more to contend with when they play us now.
Szoboszlai's long range rockets are going to do some damage to those double deckers.

@MK spot on assessment although I think Gordon may also start to make a bit of an impression this season if the club think he is ready to play.

I really believe that our front line is sorted now and midfield is looking good for goals too.

As for city and the blond bomber, they despite his huge personal tally scored less goals last season when they shared them out the year before.

WDW, i had high hopes for Gordon but it's been a long time out injured and i think Doak is a better player.

Hope you're right though mate. Would be great if Gordon can bounce back and add another string to our bow. He has obvious talent. I worry more about him physically. Strength, pace and fitness is an important part of making the leap to the mens game. You could well be right though. He has an eye for goal which is sometimes all you need!
