Im 46 and for the first time in my life im in Liverpool with my better half and daughter, stadium tour tomorrow, the city is crackin, people are sound, anyone recommend anywhere great to eat? Somewhere central, also somewhere nice for a beer where the 14 yr old daughter will be welcome,
Cheers all YNWA.

{Ed002's Note - Last time I was in Liverpool we ate on The Floating Grace at Albert Dock, which I must say was excellent. You probably need a hotel to ensure your daughter is in a reasonable environment - else her vocabulary may well be extended.}

Great Italian on Stanley St, Casa Italian.

Not flash but great food and pizza for your daughter (if she's like mine! ) .

I also recommend the lobster pot . I am a Londoner but everytime I go up I do my best to try and stop there to have something to eat.

There's a Napoli pizza place (forget the name) on Castle St that is class.

Yeah, you can get great food anywhere now, but grab a cod n chips from the lobster pot and just walk around the city centre. As Ed002 says, sensitive ears get a pounding in Liverpool. Whenever I come back it takes me a while to get used to it :)
Oh, if you enjoy the lobster pot, I think it's worth the 50 minute drive to Conway for the best fish and chips I've ever had.
