At times like this I would love to have Suarez back, He knew where the goal was.

He also hate losing and had that “Never give up” character in him. Remember he broke into tears at Crystal Palace. The boy for all his issues was the best striker I have seen in the last 10 years!
That celebration at Goodison diving into Moyes after he scored the goal ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.

He'd add some bite to our attack.

The bloke did everything he could to leave us including Suing the club and biting players and you’d want him back! People have a short memory.
And he’s legs have gone. No thanks not for me.

{Ed001's Note - sad isn't it? Some people have no self-respect.}

In terms of finishers - we’ve had much better.
As much as I enjoyed watching his football I wouldn’t have him back, he caused too much trouble.
I doubt our owners would sanction a return anyway.

Id take Suarez of ten years ago in a heartbeat (with some kind of good behaviour clause in his contract) . He was phenomenal in his second season for us, especially versus the poor Canaries.

Isn't Salah trying to leave the club also and has been since way last season. Getting his agent to tout him around Spanish clubs? Yet he is still treated like a God. Or do we just slag them off when they are gone?

06 Mar 2019 08:27:45
He's nothing but trouble, caused so much sh*te it's unreal and he's wanted back? after what he put the club through, he's one of the last people I'd have back at Liverpool.

Nailed it Irish! Sad we do that! Coutinho.

Must be a whind up, OP. Suarez was trouble from day 1 REGARDLESS of his football. He lied and got KK sacked. Took the clubto a tribunal to force a move to Arsenal of all places. When on a biting spree that did real damage to the club, PR wise BUT hey, I guess that is not a problem for you, is it?

Two things can be correct at the same time. Suarez was class BUT he was also a disgrace to this club and trust me, Klopp would have got shot of him after the thing he did to KK and I would have been fine with that. Again clearly, that is not a problem for you and your ilk who support such nonsense. Pathetic!

By the way IR, Stop deflecting as it is embarrassing. Salah is not the topic here as he has done NOTHING close to what Suarez did and his agent hawking him around is NOTHING new. Just Ask ED02.

Well said Irish. Suarez and Coutinho were two of my favourite Liverpool players to watch. Absolutely class on the field hence why Barce came in for them. Yes, there were issues, more so with Suarez, but fans always seem to 'forget' how good players were for us after they have gone, and there is always bitterness among some. Of course morality should be of the highest importance in any walk of life, but we should also understands that behavioural issues such as we witnessed with Suarez is often the cause of something underlying which we might never know about.

{Ed001's Note - underlying issues in Suarez's case were wanting a move away. What is wrong with people and their nonsense excuses? The guy knew what he was doing and did it deliberately. As for Salah, he has behaved impeccably and never refused to play or train, never bit anyone, never racially abused anyone or lied about it. That is why he is treated the way he is, unlike the scummy little prick who backstabbed the greatest man the club has ever had. Dalglish is worth more than a billion Suarez's. Dalglish brought success to the club as a player and manager, Suarez just dragged its name through the mud.}

Well said Ed, absolutely spot on mate. A little frustrating that people are still up Suarez's backside, ignoring the facts. It surprises me it really does.

{Ed001's Note - I can't believe anyone even tried to compare him with Salah. It is night and day. Suarez earnt contempt through his own actions and that is exactly what he deserves. He only has himself to blame.}

13.) 06 Mar 2019
06 Mar 2019 10:40:52
Anyone know what his yellow/ red card count is since he joined Barca?
His behaviour on the pitch when with us to push a move away was deplorable.

06 Mar 2019 10:44:36
Yeah exactly my thoughts too Ed mate. I thought Barcelona were stupid for buying Suarez but my god I was delighted when they did! Unfortunately he's not the first and won't be the last but I don't remember anybody been quite as bad as he was for the club.

I think it's the younger generation, they're only bothered about what the player does on the pitch and couldn't give a damn about the image of the club. To me, the image of the club is most important over anything else. Times have changed I know that much!

We know it won't happen because Salah is a completely different person but if he were to do the same tomorrow as suarez did, I'd be saying exactly the same, get him out! It doesn't matter how good a footballer is, if they can't treat the club with the respect it deserves then they aren't welcome imo mate. Luckily though, again, I don't think we'll ever see Salah going that low. These two simply cannot be compared.

{Ed001's Note - completely agree.}

Great response Ed. Thank you for that.

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate.}

I am a great believer in second chances. Not as in a return to the club, but in the person. People can change, and when they do and the evidence is visible, I can forgive what has been.

{Ed001's Note - so what change have you seen? As he had 3 chances over biting....Let's be honest you haven't a clue how he has acted there, because he has not been ideal.}

17.) 06 Mar 2019
06 Mar 2019 12:36:43
I never said I have seen a change in Suarez, I am speaking in a general sense (forgiveness in general) . Some people don't change/ mature for decades, but when they do I don't hate them for what they did in their immaturity. But that's just me. Have a good day ed.

{Ed001's Note - I don't see the relevance to this situation. No one is talking about hate bar you. All I have said is he gets spoken of in terms of contempt because he brought them on himself. Now you are trying to act all holier than thou. He was a grown man, not a child and his actions have to have consequences otherwise why should anyone bother to behave the right way? He never repaid the club for the crap he put it through. Instead he got everything his way, the big pay rises and then another big pay rise and a move to where he wanted to go. Sorry but he has not shown anything to suggest he has changed. He has not worked with anti-racism campaigns or done anything to suggests he even gives a toss. Because he doesn't.}

18.) 06 Mar 2019
06 Mar 2019 13:24:18
I don't mean to come across that way. I am in agreement with you that his behaviour was disgusting, and actions should have consequences. My point to begin with was that Suarez was a world class footballer whilst with us, and I agree with Irish that quite often (like with Coutinho) fans can quickly forget how good the player's ability was whilst with us. Their view can be clouded by the negative opinion they have of the player through the way the player behaved or forced a move.

I suggested that there may be an underlying reason as to why Suarez behaved the way he did, such as domestic abuse witnessed or suffered as a child for example. But I don't know if this is the case with him, I could be far wrong. Whatever the reason, we must suffer the consequences of our actions, but if a mature Suarez sits down in 10 years time and acknowledges that his behaviour was dispicable and there is evidence of his change, then I would hope fans would be open to putting the past behind them.

Ed01, I advise the Suarez fan boys to give this nonsensical debate a rest cos really, the people making excuses for Suarez's disgraceful behavior, are showing their own lack of morality and lack of dignity and principles on the internet for the world to see. Remember, you are what you willfully allow and make excuses for. Again, PATHETIC!

{Ed001's Note - some people have different ideas is all.}

20.) 06 Mar 2019
06 Mar 2019 13:43:53
I'm sorry red rum but you're clutching at straws here. He's **** mate and it's as simple as that. You can talk about how he may of had underlying issues, it's irrelevant, he's a total kn*obhead who dragged the club through dirt, why? Because he chose to. There's no defending people like him mate because he's quite clearly not a good enough PERSON to be at Liverpool. History tells us this. It's not about how he was on the pitch it's about how it is as a person. You think he's changed? Has he hell, he's history and I just wish more people would see the bigger picture, anybody defending him simply hasn't got a clue what they're talking about.

RR, I did read it and my posts are directed at those who are shamelessly pining over him making excuses for his disgusting behavior at the time. People are painting him like a paragon of dignity and class while willfully ignoring his awful conduct that brought severe disrepute to the club. It is that simple.
