Oh what a time to be a Liverpool fan. Great football to watch and the results to match. With January coming up there will be lots of rumours about incoming players but what a squad we have Lovren has stepped up to cover Gomez and hasn't generally looked very good (but even Phil Jones would next to VVD) . For me at the moment the midfield is brilliant and so interchangeable. I have this argument with a lot of rival fans and they all say none of our midfielders are great. Whether that be the case or not together they are exceptional and the improvement of Wijnaldum and his ability to always turn up in the big games. Great to see Firmino back to his best last night too.

What does Lovren have to do to be viewed as a good centerback? Think it is awful what fans say about him. "Hasn't generally looked very good". Matip and Lovren have been great for us.

Lovren scored one against newcastle and made one yesterday, he's a world cup finalist. We should be delighted we have him in our squad, I do think Gomez will take the 1st choice spot but lovren is making it a tough decision for klopp with his performances lately.

I think Gomez should come back in when Lovren is in need of a rest, but at the moment he's just about earning his place.

I like both gomez and lovren. I think Joe is more consistent but lovren is stronger.

When we play teams with an exceptional forward (like Madrid in final and arsenal yesterday) lovren is exceptional at keeping them quiet.

It's a nice choice to have and to actually be arguing about! Fantastic season.

Sorry guys it was a type eeeoe it was supposed to say has generally looked very good. I think he looks very steady next to VVD especially in the bigger games he seems to concentrate more and always puts In 100%.
