Thanks Ed. That kit’s a shocker!

{Ed001's Note - well you are going to be disappointed when you open your Xmas prezzies then mate!}

What's your opinion on having a 3rd European competition Ed? What night would they be played as the midweek nights are already cluttered with the other competitions

Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - it depends on how it is done and who is admitted to it. They could easily put the Champs League all on one night.}

Thanks Tris!

Curious though, do you know if Moshiri previously had to pass the Fit and proper persons test or if he now goes on to own 75% by mid 2019 as expected, will he then need to pass said test?

{Ed001's Note - he had to in order to have a major shareholding.}

Ha ha! Quality Ed. Please god no! Not an Everton kit. I’d rather burn in the bowels of hell.

{Ed001's Note - it's that or Oktoberfest mate.}

Good review Ed001 mate. 1860 Munich Octoberfest top is spot on if you consider that's pretty much how confusing everything looks after several beers. I have every sympathy for Derek McInnes. when a system is rotten the rot really does take hold.

On the West Ham fiasco. Everyone and their mother knew West Ham were getting a lopsided deal but that has to fall on the LLDC and Newham. They have been incompetent as this scenario was in fact pointed out by Daniel Levy when attempting to secure the ground for Tottenham. He stated back then that it would make better financial sense for the LLDC to allow the purchase by Tottenham with an accompanying redevelopment of Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. What is worse, THIS is not yet the worst scenario. if WHU get relagated the situation is even worse. It's ridiculous.

{Ed001's Note - agreed, but why are the Hammers being such dicks when they have the deal of a lifetime? Brady is a gobby cow at the best of times, but sometimes you have to learn to shut the f up and be glad you got lucky.}

That's a good point Reynard, what does happen if they get relegated? What a mess. Have a great day everyone.

I tend to agree with you on Karren Brady Ed001 mate but she's just doing her job as the Gold/ Sullivan 'Pitbull'. Newham on the other hand were money grabbing and took any deal that offered them a few million here and there. Unless I'm mistaken they jumped at the chance of earning £4m (split between them and the LLDC) on stadium renaming rights. THIS is the same borough that eventually bought into the WHU argument that as "20 day a year tenants" West Ham shouldn't have to pay a 365 day rent. but then manage to claim an equivalently bad 5.5 percent of the renaming rights on the stadium (morons) .

@stone - hi mate, if they go down their rent is halved - "peppercorn rent" anyone? LOL. You've got to give it to WHU for negotiating such ridiculous payment with virtually no payment towards policing and everything else that accrues as well. they can make more money than football by putting on weekly boot sales. which ironically would be returning the stadium to what it used to be.

{Ed001's Note - it is ridiculous mate. The whole thing is a mess.}

Teams can quickly loose their identity when they move stadium. It has to be a very well organised and thought out process where a few years down the line it allows a club to start and claw back all the things that previously made them unique both to their own fans and also to rival fans as well.

Despite the deal suiting west ham i get the feeling their going to be in water a long time searching for dry land.

I would love that 3rd competition to be a return for the cup winners cup. I am too young to have ever watched it but think the concept of it is fantastic. Imagine a few years back watching Wigan Vs. Athletico Madrid.

I am so excited to have craven cottage back.

What a decision to extent anfield. That feeling of the proper grounds is so good.

Whilst I agree with most of Reynard’s points on the London Stadium, there was no way that Spurs could have moved into Newham. It may have made better financial sense, but residents would have seen it as a total sell-out. The Council was in a no-win situation there.
What is hugely ironic is that the 2012 Olympics were supposedly held with “legacy” as its core aim and yet the organisers / authorities have badly thought through its centre-piece stadium.
It strikes a rotten deal for the public purse, local people have been disenfranchised from it, business around the old Boleyn ground has badly suffered and West Ham’s fans have fared badly so far.

Well said Juicer. Some legacy huh.

Since WWII at least, no olympic games has had a real positive legacy for it's host. Frankly, London are doing brilliantly with their infrastructure legacy in that all major sites are regularly used - Beijing was left to overgrow until parts were included in their winter olympic bid, Turin's winter olympic sites were empty until they starting housing refugees, half of the Athens and Rio sites are already falling apart after being rushed to completion. They are flashy feel good projects not long term public investments.

If the LLDC wanted to make a lasting legacy at the very least they could have demanded the WH share the stadium with Leyton Orient to support a club struggling to support themselves.

I agree Juicer mate that Spurs could not have been allowed to buy the stadium but Daniel Levy foresaw the problems with the financial model that was in front of the LLDC and Newham. Equal exception to Leyton Orient moving there existed (Hearn was not popular in the local community) but these were not the only options. there were at least four more options (2 of which were VERY good from a legacy perspective) . the LLDC and Newham said that the WHU model was the best for legacy but this was simply not true. On top of this, every London household paid more than £600 towards the building of the stadium and the legacy but they're left paying for the mistakes of a bunch of invisible business cronies ever since the building was effectively given gratis to West Ham.
