Can't remember being this excited about a Liverpool team, we have an exciting future with Klopp.

Can't wait to see Andy Robinson after full time, European cup in one hand, can of iron bru in the other, a weeping Christiano Ronaldo in the background.

Allez allez Allez.

2.) 25 May 2018 16:15:03
Iron Bru is a top bevvy!

Welcome to the site mate. Don't worry about tomorrow. Most teams would love a 3 goal first leg cushion. If it wasn't for Barcelona's ineptitude last month, people would barely be worrying!

2.) 01 May 2018 23:35:25
Lets hope we don't show the same ineptitude. This tie is far from over.

Im aware how lucky any team is having a 3 goal lead going into a second leg, especially in a european semi final but common its liverpool! Dull big european games are very rarely in our make up. Im not feeling negative about the game at all just extremely nervous. Call it a nervous excitement if you will. Within touching distance of where this beautiful club belongs.

Guys i don't think you should all suddenly become doctors. If he had have failed his medical i doubt he would have done the promo stuff after.

That being said if it was anything to do with a medical its pretty daft to be attacking the medical team. Some of the posts are coming off as really weird.

To want sturridge and lallana gone because they are injury prone but then want to sign a player who may potentially be injury prone doesn't add up.

I personally think it had very little to do with the medical because like i said at start i don't think it would have progressed to the promo stuff.

Ive been saying to my mates that this one wouldn't be a straight foward one. Liverpool and lyon must have been apart in either the total price or the structure of payments.

Lyon have merely decided to use the publicity to hard ball negotiations. They are well within their rights to demand whatever they deem fit for their employee and captain.

I still think it will be done bit most likely won't be till after the world cup now.

Its more impossible than ever to predict with 100% accuracy transfers in todays football.

Agents are at their work more than ever.

Any insight you get from someone a little more in the know than yourself is a bonus that should not be scoffed at and more importantly ridiculed if it does not happen.

Its a rumours site and a good 80% of information will ultimately end up being just that unless its a nugget that a player signing is imminent.

The information, insight on all things football, and general post discussions on this sight are second to none. let's try and keep it that way.

In terms of the eds, the hand that feeds you should never be bitten. The ground work they put in on all things football is awesome. Respect is definately well earned on that front.

I think your being slightly harsh mate. There is a difference between giving your all and your concentration levels.

There aren't too many midfielders can's age who are world class.

Some players struggle with concentration and positional awareness. Its not always related to a desire to be an individual rarther than a team player. Sometimes maturity cures the problem and sometimes it just never kicks in.

Gerrard never had great positional awareness.

In can's case i refuse to believe that he simply didn't care. I think its more of a case of him being young and eager. I think the positional awareness will come as he gets older.

If he had such poor concentration and positional awareness perhaps he should not have been playing as a holding midfielder when he did which is hardly his fault.

Im a bit sad to see him go because i quite liked him as a player who i always thought could get better.

He seemed to gain the trait of slowing down and waiting to roll the tackle which he never needed to do. I think he bulked up a bit too much wich cost him a bit in the nimbleness department.

Perhaps it might have been an injury that lost him a bit of spring in his step or a bit of doubt crept into his brain which isn't uncommon and is hard to shift.

Italy is probably league that will suit him better.

Of all the players who have left liverpool over the years can might actually be top of my list of players i would like to see succeed.

He is a player who genuinly loves the game. You can tell that by watching him play.

Sometimes things just naturally run their course.

I think the main reason can left was that he knew when klopp had another transfer window that his starting place was most likely gone.

I think we paid 10.5 million or something around that and he has played quite a few positions and number of games since he joined.

I think in overall terms he has paid back his transfer fee and despite the bad games he had he was never bereft of desire to perform and see the club do well.

Cant see how anyone would have a problem with him leaving.

The fact the club aren't getting any money for him is their fault. His contract should have been extended before it got to a year left.

But maybe he wouldn't have signed it even then unless he had the exit clause. But a few seasons back he was starting every game he was fit.

Still it frees up a wage for someone who wouldn't have been in the main starting 11 next season.

Personally id have lallana follow him as quick as posdible. Not sure what they are both on but that should free up about 150k at least.

£40 million for fabinho is a great start to the window. Add keita to that and come juily 1st we already have two great signings.

Its a very important window coming up that was already made harder by the world cup.

But fabinho and keita are two potential monsters coming into our side.

The swiftness of the deal is very impressive.

Could be an interesting few weeks ahead.

Im pretty sure that anyone who is lobbying for a top class goalkeeper isn't doing it with the statement i want a better goalkeeper because they don't make mistakes.

Karius may very well become a decent keeper but its going to take 2 to 3 more seasons for him to get there. He will never be world class though. No where near it.

Liverpool don't have the luxury of having a project between the sticks. The blood is in the water and what liverpool do over the next 2 to 3 seasons could at the very least establish them as the nailed on number 2 club in england going foward.

Ive read quite a few posts on here the last week saying how karius is a good sweeper keeper and he should get another chance because there aren't to many out there.

Karius is not a sweeper keeper. He is just a keeper that rushes off his line. There is a massive difference. Despite what some people are saying he isn't that great with his feet either. A good sweeper keeper has excellent timing and poise and can ping balls about comfortably.

Liverpool don't need a sweeper keeper they need a keeper who takes charge and commands his area by taking no prisoners. Someone who barks orders and pushes you out if your sitting too deep. Liverpool like to draw in and strike. A sweeper keeper is not needed for that playstyle.

Liverpool need a keeper that when you watch him play he looks like he was born to do it.

One thing i did notice about karius last season is that he started to come and get something on crosses and corners. It was an improvement on what he was doing before. So he clearly is trying to learn. If he would practise on pusing shots he can't catch to the side too then it would be a big improvement.

If he started next season as number 1 i will be all behind him but if a top class keeper becomes availiable and the budget allows it be it this season or next it would only be logical to pursue it.

Btw anyone who is blaming karius for losing the champions league final are dead wrong. The first mistake was cancelled out and the second one didn't matter cause was madrid went 2-1 up there was only one winner. The quality of depth in liveroools squad cost them more. Salah off and lallana on in a right foward position eridicated any fear madrid had early on and that was all she wrote.

I understand your reasioning for allison and they are all fair points.

I just think oblak is the better keeper. And if they were roughly around the same price and the money was there after fekir id go for oblak.

His shot stopping is not just good its insane.

I don't think karius played as a sweeper keeper at all last season. I don't think there is a need for one the way liverpool play. Henderson dropped so deep when the keeper had the ball it was mostly a roll out or a very short pass.

Now maybe if we get a true sweeper keeper it would slightly tweek the way we play but at the moment there is no need for one.

Perhaps henderson drops so deep because we don't have one and is a kind of forced style due to circumstance.

I personally would rarther have a monster between the sticks that can command his area than a half monster who is good with his feet.

When allison and oblak stand side by side in the playground im going for oblak as my keeper.

Im not saying its night and day between them i just think oblak has better qualities suited to pure goalkeeping.

If we sign either keeper id be more than happy though. Like i said i understand why you would want allison instead.

Either keeper would vastly upgrade the gk position in the first 11.

Im under no illusions, i always knew that at best he was a very long shot he just a player i like and who would suit our system to a t. Especially a long shot with the purchase of keita fabinho and potentially fekir which in truth cannot be argued with at all. 3 excellent signings. Add a goal keeper to that and we are pretty much done in terms of spending big on anyone else.

Would be a hell of a window if fekir and oblak were to come in over the next few weeks.

The one flaw in it all would be no quality addition to the front 3 group. But getting fekir and oblak would be a hell of a comprimise to not adding to the front 3. The added goals from midfield from fekir and keita might help lighten the load.

Oblak over allison all day long for me by the way.

You just killed my hopes of bailey.

Unless you meant just not this summer cough cough.

No need to reply. Let me have that sliver of hope lol

He is the player id love liverpool to sign most of all. Think klopp would make him a monster.

I could live with him going to munich but couldn't stomach him going to city.
