We will face at least one tough opponent in the group stage so my preference today would be Bayern Munich ( Only coz I want to go to the Allianz) Porto so we can do them 5-0 again and AEK Athens as they should be an easy win.

We have 6 Away fixtures after each CL group game. 3 of those are against Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal. No doubts Chelsea and Arsenal will rest their players for their Europa game before hand. Spurs will be in similar boat to us. Although we have had issues in the past of keeping the same intensity for 2 games in a week.

I think we need a little common sense. We’ve just beaten Brighton 1-0 and now we are being arrogant in saying bring Real and Europe’s best on we will beat them (didn’t we say similar in May) Spurs beat Real in the group stage last season and all they got was 3 points which is the same we got for our easier ties. For me I really hope luck is on our side and we get a nice group. The only game that really means anything in the CL is winning the final. Beating a big team in the groups means very little unless you win the comp.

i wish liverpool to get easy opponent in group stage
that will give advantage to liverpool in CL, PL and other cup competition
some player can rest to avoid injury.
