A massive shout out to Klopp and the management at the club for what they've done to this team over recent years. Can't list all the changes but remember we've gone from Balotelli, Borini and Lambert to Mane, Firmino, Salah, and from the likes of Joe Allen to Keita, from Skrtel to VVD, Migs to Alisson.

We are building something special lads, and while Rome wasn't built in a day and one can argue Man City still has an edge, we've come a long way. A few seasons ago, hoping for top 4 was just that. hoping. Now it feels like we really have the tools to challenge.

Can't wait for the season to start.

Agreed with all of that except the part about skrtel, he was a great defender in his day imagine him partnering vvd.

I like Skrtel, he was a warrior but he also wasn’t in the same class as VVD. I didn’t mean to slight him (or Joe who always tried hard) but we are clearly in a very different space now with genuine top class talent. I really hope we get at least top 2 and a cup win with a squad like this and Klopp behind them.

SGRed, I'm not going into the comparisons but the constantly hoping for top 4 part really strikes a chord. How many seasons have we hoped to just make the CL? Now, any TV pundit that dares leave us out of their top 4 predictions are going to get some really dirty looks, and not just from Liverpool fans.
I know there are no guarantees, but I don't see anybody saying 'hope we make the top 4' which says a lot about what we expect from the upcoming season.
