Happy Friday all.

E001, 02, 333 and 25 and Posters.

Moving away form transfer, what's everyone's views on safe stand? I'm torn to be honest. Whilst the subject is a sensitive issue there's a couple of reasons why I'm in two minds.

My seat on the kop is block 106 row 22 so I'm in relatively low position. We tend to stay seated apart from when Arsenal, City, United etc come to town ( and European games) when pretty much the whole kop stands. Where as the back end of the Kop stands no matter who we play.

For those of you that go to away games you'll know that we always stand, no matter whom we play. It's the same when away supports come to Anfield, they all stand.

Standing lends itself to a better atmosphere imo. When I sit (which is dictated by those around) I find myself and those around are much quieter but this also coincides with the magnitude of the game. Bigger team-the crowd normally stands and creates a better atmosphere. Lesser team-fans sit and maybe expect a win and don’t get behind the team as much.
If it can be trialed and works I’m for it but I can imagine others will be against it. My dad was at Hillsborough and didn’t renew his season ticket after that and refused to take me on the kop as a child until it went seating and I imagine the thought won’t sit right with a lot of people who lost love ones that day.

Whilst being very sympathetic towards our fans and what happened in Sheffield, I always loved standing on the Kop. I’ve never felt the atmosphere has been the same since but that may be for lots of reasons and not just standing. I’m pro safe standing and giving people a choice about where they would prefer to be in a ground.

If the families of the 96 say “no” to safe standing for whatever reason then the answer has to be no.

People only stand anyway. What happened in Yorkshire would never happen again. I totally understand liverpool reluctance. YNWA x.

I'm very much against it. 'What happened in Yorkshire would never happen again' sorry PH but you can't say that mate, it may, if there's even a slight risk it shouldn't be allowed and there is always a risk. Huge no from me.

Whilst it may create a better atmosphere standing, we're talking about peoples lives and when it comes down to people being safe imo there's no discussion. What happened before we never want to see again and I don't think we ever will but you just never know. I'd leave things as they are.

Where’s the proof it’s “safe”?
