Can one of the eds please tell me who was the first Muslim to play for LFC. Was it Titi Camara? Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry.}

Do not bring religion to football.

If only you knew football itself is the biggest religion in the world. :)

Having a Muslim/ Jewish/ insert faith here player means a lot to some people and quite honestly its an inclusive sport, if somebody wants to bring their religion onto the game as long as it doesn’t affect another then why not bring it in as long as it’s done in a friendly way.

It could have been Titi. Was he before Nabil El-Zhar? We also had a defender that only played about 5 games called Carl Medjani who I'm sure was also muslim.

Did everyone know that Emre Can's muslim?

Pretty impossible question to answer as footballers do not always reveal their religion. That’s a good thing in my opinion.

{Ed025's Note - i agree ron..

Exactly Ron. That's why I mention Emre.

Spot on, Ron. For ex., I did not know Emre Can was a practising Muslim until last week.

I agree Ron, it's all irrelevant. It doesn't matter to me what the players religion is, it's football. Their religious beliefs are for their own time and space, all I'm bothered about is what happens on that pitch.
