I think bringing Coutinho back for the Burnley game was a mistake. I said a lot during the live chat that he looked off the pace but also he took every chance possible to fire balls into row z. But worst yesterday was that everyone seemed to constantly pass to him. It looked like Firminho couldn't see anyone else on the pitch but Couts, everywhere Salah went with the ball Couts chased him bringing more defenders into Salahs area.
I think we were much better attacking this season without Couts and until he is 100% fit I think he shouldn't start, bring him on as a sub but I thought not only was he poor but he negatively effected others.
Again just my thought.

Did you not see the lovely one-two's he had with Firmino. His passing was first class! He dribbled past the entire Brunely. Drop him for whom? Wijnaldum? lol of AOX? You kidding me?

He was way off the pace Harry, should be kicking for the English rugby team he was hitting them that high.
I'd play Ox for Mane, or what was the point in buying him.
I'd try Solanke instead of Sturridge and I'd try Grujic instead of Milner if there's a problem with Hendo.

Mate I can't believe you think he deserves a place in starting 11 at the moment, he was very poor yesterday, whether that's unfit, head in wrong place or other he shouldn't be first 11.

Mcgoveb, as much as we don't like it after his carry on in the summer, if we want him to be of any use this season, he has to be given minutes on the pitch to get his sharpness and form back. And 20 minutes at a time off the bench is not really going to do it, he needs to start at least some of the games.

If we aren't willing to stomach this for a few games, then we might as well have sold him.

I don't rate AOX in the middle or on the flanks. He has no end product. I don't know why did we buy him, you got to ask Mr Klopp. Grujic for Milner is not a bad option. it looks like Klopp doesn't rate Grujic Firmino is not a wide player. It's a crap section to deploy him on the flanks. Coutinho is our most valuable and creative player in the squad!

He doesn't deserve to wear the shirt again, But then you should have sold him! You did not. Means he PLAYS!

And whenever Coutinho had the ball he was marked out by 3 Burnley players. He is such a clas player and they know the threat. His shooting was terrible but how many times did he bailed us out from those long rangers. We play too narrow with no width at all. It's easy to defend against us!

Something, he was way off the pace against Seville and also against Burnley, he could be given sub appearance against Burnley and the full cup game against Leicester. My opinion has nothing to do with his dramatics in the summer it is purely based on his fitness.

Harry, we have no idea how he will play for Liverpool until he is given his chance, yesterday was a great opportunity to do that but instead a Klopp tried to shoehorn Firminho out wide which completely wasted his talent. If he had three players on him we had players over (Robertson numerous times Open on the wing) why didn't he find them instead of finding row z.
There's no one doubting his skill and talent but as I said for what ever reason he's not ready to start.

Harry, why do you keep saying "you" in all of of your posts?

Who's "you"? Liverpool? Don't you mean "we" / "us"?

Often your posts sound like you don't see yourself as pasty of the collective, are you not a Liverpool fan anymore?

Oh well Mcgoveb, That's a Dear Klopp question. We could throw numerous proposition but in the end Mr Klopp decides who he wants to play. I agree with your opinion and sentiments like Firmino playing in the wings is crap. But that is how it is. I would have kept Ryan Kent a better cover / Winger than splashing £40 mill on AOX.

Coutinho is one of those rare player who could create something from absoluetely nothing, So you play him in search of those magical moments! And let's be honest he is the only player that could have unlocked that china wall set up by Burnley. We play though the middle and by far he is the best bet to penetrate that wall!

He didn't have his best game but he is still our best player. He hit a few into row z but I take heart from that. Here's why. He really wanted to score a coutinio classic and he is trying hard to get back in the fans good books. He's good with us I know but I'm glad he is still trying to win games for us.

@ Mcgoveb - If it's about his sharpness, as I said he needs to play. If you had mentally pencilled in Leicester in the League Cup to test the waters on him for a start, then I assume unless he played extremely well, you wouldn't play him against Leicester in the league?

So stretching back to Man City after the international break, that's one game out of five he'd start in. That's not going to be enough if we want him halfway sharp this side of Christmas. The next easiest game on paper in our current run was Burnley. I think Klopp made the right choice.

Something, if the clubs goal was to get Coutinho fit then you make sense, however, if the clubs goal was to win the match against Burnley then you don't play a guy who isn't match fit in my opinion.

Mcgoveb, save the hindsight 20/ 20 stuff. Everyone is a genius after the fact. Cou needs to play and he was great up until the final pass and his decision making was poor. I was happy with the lineup and we could have won that game by 3 goals had we made better decisions in the final third as Cou was not the only one doing that. Again, the hindsight crap is boring. Had we won and Cou provided an assists and/ or goal, would you be saying what you're saying now? NO so move on.
