I must say Mr. Le tissier seems rather a bitter man doesn't he?
And Mr. Bellew claiming he's going to buy a Barcelona shirt with countinho on it, grow up tone or il give Adonis Stevenson a ring to put you back in your place 🥊.

{Ed002's Note - I would never consider Matt Le Tissier to be bitter - I don't know what he has said but I am aware from some he works with that he is disapp;ointed in the unprofessionalism being shown by van Dijk - and I don't think there is much wrong with that. He is aware of the cause of this and it is something he, Southampton, other clubs and the authorities want to rid the game of.}

I half agree mate to be honest but his little digs at lfc here n there are a bit farcical but maybe its banter as it's hard to tell reading text 😉.

{Ed002's Note - Many, many people in the game see what Liverpool has done as well beyond what is acceptable.}

Many fans do as well ed002. It's a shame so many are blinkered on this site. It must get frustrating.
I doff my hat to you guys.

A lot of people and ex aplayers don't like Liverpool because we dominated for such a long time. The bitterness persists to this day, which is a little bizzare (and sad) considering we haven't won much in a quarter of a century.

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with that. It is to do wilth illegal approaches, unprofessional conduct and putting professionals of other clubs in to the mess we see now.}

JH,

your theory doesn't really work when you consider the love fest so many have for Man Utd though does it?

the whole "the worlds against us" attitude is nothing short of some having a chip on their shoulder and nothing else.

The cause is surely the fact that he wants to further his career. Regardless of what Liverpool do (which I'm not excusing) if he was happy at Southampton and wanted to fulfil his contract he would tell us to do one! This Liverpool bashing over VVD is getting ridiculous he's a grown man and can make his own decisions he's not a child! He wants to further his career if that hadn't been us it would've been someone else! Southampton are to blame for his current situation because they have refused to listen to what he wants and told him to train on his own. We can be blamed for an illegal approach but we can't be blamed for someone's actions towards their club after that or their clubs actions towards them! Southampton should have brokered a deal that suited them at the start and this would have all been forgotten about by now. Honestly it's like we are at playschool or something!

Added to that there is no doubt in my mind that Barcelona have illegally approached Coutinho and are using the press to try to get what they want. If he's not for sale we just stand firm and say no. What's the point of running to tell the teacher that the Spanish kid is picking on you? You ruin a relationship with another club that you may need in the future. Just stand up for yourself for gods sake and respectfully decline the offer. No need for this blame game that people seem to be playing.

Don't worry about it, Mourinho and Chelsea did it and got punished for it and it's not hampered their reputation.

{Ed002's Note - Yes 12 years ago. And perhaps you should try and understand what happened there and who was responsible.

If you think Liverpool's reputation is undamaged ask the owners who are spending a lot of money on the monitoring of perception and image. Ask about those screwed by the club resulting ion a 12 year old boy being in the situation he is, his parents being in debt, the club being banned and the pending court case. Ask any of the elite sides who exclude Liverpool from membership or Southampton and other sides impacted by the total unprofessionalism. One idiot after another bring this up.}
