Good morning ED01,

This is not a dig in anyway, just really interested to get your opinion. I accept that although you have no problems with Klopp personally, you don't buy all the hype around him as a coach.

I know you don't like to give personal opinions etc and I know it's all in the past, but I'm really curious to hear your opinion on whether at the time of Rodgers' sacking, was Klopp the best Liverpool could have brought in? Or do you think that Rodgers shouldn't have even been sacked?

Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - are you sure you mean me and not Ed002? Only I made it plain at the time Klopp was the best available and that Rodgers should never have got the job in the first place.}

Obligatory defence of Rodgers.

The manager doesn't get free reign to spend whatever he likes.

Sorry EDO1, yes I meant to send it to ED02, if he is around to give his opinion?

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - This whole subject has been done to death - there is no point dragging it out again.}

imo, we are no better under Klopp than we were with Rodgers.

Ko lo, none of what you say is true so stop posting falsehoods and rewriting history. I'm sure you are still cheering him on after we got hammered by Stoke 6-1 in 2015. I don't know what is wrong with certain fans on here. When we were terrorizing teams this season and even last season, never heard a soul on here talk about BR and how it may have been wrong to sack him or compare his failed tenure here with Klopp's. Now that Klopp is struggling (as if a manager has never done that before), his apologists are now out in force, trying to create unrest in the fan base. Pathetic!

BR was a rank incompetent failure and Klopp took his so called hapless team to two finals (a European final to boot) in his first 8 months while BR was a failure in both his campaigns in Europe. We are 14 points better off than last season at the same stage and YES, he was rightly sacked as he had only 6 good months with us in 3.5 years. He will never be in Klopp's league no matter how many paper mache trophies he wins in the one team Sunday league called the SPL.

I think Klopp is the right fit for Liverpool but he has had a steep learning curve about a full English season

I wonder was Mourinio ever approached or considered after his dismissal at Chelsea?

Jose would be bottom of the list.

Mourinho was fired after Klopp signed why would he have ever been considered?

It would do my head in if we ever got Jose in as our manager, I just don't like him in any way shape or form, Klopp is our manager, so let's get behind him,
yes Klopp has made some very basic mistakes, still thinks our League is the same as in Germany, meaning he didn't factor in not having a two week winter break, and that the small squad would suffer big time, so hope he learns from this season, and we hit the ground running next season .

{Ed002's Note - Sounds like a post from last season.}
