I agree with Ed 002 on the reasons for failing to win the Premier League. It's not only about financial resources. It's a combination of strategy, management and decision making. LFC haven't been successful in all three for several years. Things have improved under FSG but they've also been guilty of serious mistakes. It'll take years to get anywhere near the level of Chelsea or City as far as strategy, management and decision making are concerned. The fact that the club haven’t strengthened this window is also the consequencen of poor planning.

Chelsea and more so city are on a totally different level to us financially as are united.

The owners I think have been good in giving the manager money but on occasions it has been spent badly.

I was hoping we would add this window just to give us the final push over the line for top 4 but nevermind.

One thing is for sure though in the summer we need to add proven quality into the squad.

Lavers, there is no doubting that the 3 clubs mentioned are on a different level to Liverpool in terms of buying power and wages and for me that is not an issue, it is what it is. That said, reality and common sense needs to be used in terms of targets for a season. "The target is to win the League" is pure fantasy by Fsg and the only way it will be possible is if we have a manager that can outwit the others tactically and has an eye for great players and reasonable prices. Is Klopp that manager and do we have the scouting system to find these players?

How can anyone slate the owners? These men saved our club from hicks and gillet? I think the owners have done great since they came in they expanded Anfield and have plans to expand even more. As for the selling to buy I don't agree if it was upto the owners Suarez and Sterling would still be here but they fought their way out so they had to be sold as they were unhappy. If coutinho is happy to stay with us then I don't think any bid could make them accept.

The owners have been great under the circumstances. You simply have to understand that Liverpool hasn't been the first of even second choice of the kind of players you need to win titles. By the looks of it, times are achanging and future is bright. Be positive mate!
