Klopp: "After the last international break I spoke to both of them and we made this decision. That's the ranking. Loris No 1, Simon No 2." now that to me is good, Karius will prove doubters wrong.

I'm not comparing but David de Gea and Hugo Lloris struggled in their first season in the premiership.

Lets give Karius time to settle and support whoever is between the sticks!

LLoris was a benchwarmer at Spurs in favor of Brad Freidel (a then 40 yr old) and had to wait his chance and still struggled the season after that when he got it. it wasn`t until his third season that he started to show his true potential. The same for, De Gea. To me, it seems that many have forgotten how awful Migs actually has been for the three years he`s been here and now suddenly, he`s a great GK overnight after being average at best and doing the very basic things during games? Really? Thank heavens that Klopp and many of us here, don`t have short memories and if Klopp is behind Karius, so am I. Migs had his chance for three years unchallenged to be the undisputed no. 1 GK, and blew it. He has nobody else to blame but himself.

Lpris is much better with his feet already. You can see the defenders passing back and having more confidence in the system. Few stray balls but much better distribution all round. No worse than migs at anything else from what I've see. Step up in my eyes.

The premier league is the most difficult league to be a keeper. It's fast and physical and Karius needs time to adapt. Can't judge him this season in my opinion.

{Ed002's Note - Maybe when he finishes going through a few years of transition he will be better. It is the Liverpool way.}

It won't silence the doubters (I'm one of them) but this is a massive show of faith by Klopp and hopefully it will help calm Karius' early jitters. There's no doubt there's a decent keeper hiding in there, I just hope we see it sooner rather than later.

Agree Ed00'2 like TC did at Am he's kinda getting there now.

😂 you tinker ed002.

Basically he is on the 'LFC transition merry-go-round' where he will stay until he becomes officially 'world class' or he falls off and becomes 'dead wood' 😉.

Shocked (Not) to hear you are a doubter, Muscat. I would have never thought that you weren`t.

The proof is in the pudding and Karius needs to get baking. I've not been impressed with any goalkeeper at Liverpool since Pepe was on form so hopefully Klopp sees something in Karius that we are yet to witness. Good luck to the lad.

Karius will get better, he's a young lad and very talented.
