Does anyone know the reasoning behind today being the last memorial service held at anfield. . jft96.

The families don't want anymore public services. They want some kind of closure.

I think it's the right decision. What with the court proceeding coming to an end, hopefully ending in justice, and not putting an end to it per say, as we will always remember them, it will just give the closure the families now deserve to grief with the facts, instead of fiction that has surrounded the tragedy for many years.

I was said the same reason when the wife asked. just thought there may have been something I had missed/ not heard cheers lads.
