Hi all, am new to this site but i have been following this for a couple of years and thought i would register, my question folks is who do you think would properly lead the lines for us tonight bcz i have seen Sturridge a number of times failing to impress in europe am not having a dig at him but this is reality, should we go with Origi or if Firmino is fit we should start with either of them? Thoughts plz.

I think we have to play sturidge he s the most dangerous man we have. His confidence is low he s not at 100% due to his recovery but a big goal could cure a lot of ills. A half fit sturidge is still dangerous for me.

I'd go with Firmino up top with Milner, Lallana and Coutinho behind him. Dortmund are a very good side. We cannot afford to have anyone stood around doing nothing for 85 minutes. Even if they do have the quality of Sturridge. He has been lazy, static and wasteful in recent games. If it's because he isn't 100% fit then he shouldn't be playing anyway. It's painful to see because 2 years ago I'd have argued he was in the top 10 strikers in world football. Now he looks a shadow of the player he was. I fear injuries have done to him what they did to Torres.

gonna be interesting what klopp picks tonight. I hope i don't see the team sheet tonight and see it set up not to lose rather than set up to win. I think that's most managers downfalls, allowing their fear of losing to influence the way they set up the team too much. I felt it in klopps team selections against manu in the league and I hope he continues how we set up in europa against manu. i'm guessing the team selection is going to be the same as last week, which i'm not really fond of with milner and lallana in the same team. If firmino is fit and replaces one of those two we will do well. can't wait.

I think the issue with Sturridge is he's still feeling his way back form that injury, the problem is because of that he doesn't push himself too hard and doesn't contest or defend from the front like we would like, Origi is better suited for that. Origi should start imo.

I said before Sturridge came back from injury in my opinion a part of his long term recovery could have been his mentality and going on his performances since his return, it seems people are seeing similar ( I remember Ed001 putting it down to the electric cool aid ) but I have my doubts . Ok a bad injury to recover from and needs game time to bed back in but if he's not still 100% I wouldn't play him tonight because not once since his return have I seen the hunger like he had when he partnered Suarez and it kills me to say this but if he has a bad Euros in France this season it could spell the end of him at Anfield come January 2017.

I would go with firmino tonight if he's fully fit with lallana Milner and couthino behind him.

Stewart, Can and Henderson would make my midfield. Firmino, Sturridge and Coutinho take up the attacking role.
Milner and Lallana will not win this tie for us. we will look toothless going forward with both of them.
