Well then, spurs, united, southampton, city and west ham all dropped points, arsenal showing signs of weakness again.

And tomorrow we go to the team that has arguably been the worst this season, have no fight and we need to win to capitalise on the failings of other teams.

Coming off the back of a 6-1 win against a good side, everyone is expecting us to win. Except we probably wont.

The amount of times liverpool have been in this situation and the amount of times they have cocked up is unimaginable.

A game where we are in sparkling form, other teams have dropped points, we need to win, and the opposition is dire. And there is literally no logical or feasable reason why we should not win.

Two seasons ago, the same game
We were in great form, started off the season well, went away to newcastle and everyone thought we would certainly win. 2-2 draw.

Last season, at home to bottom of the league leicester, we were looking to get back on track, other teams had dropped points. 2-2 draw.

Honestly the arrogance of us fans going into these games time and again comes back to bite us on the arse. I am expecting us to not win because there is no logical reason that we shouldnt. It seems to be a trait of ours.

Newcastle have to turn a corner at some point and i bet it will be against us. Treat them with some respect.

However, if klopp actually does get a win here, it will show how far we have come, and maybe many of us will turn from doubters into believers.

good post, but we have klopp, a manager who knows what he's doing. If we don't win tomorrow, my guess will be because newcastle get very lucky, and it will be counted as a blip.

I've lost count how many times we have been in good form and dropped points . been from up here most newcastle fans I've spoke to are hoping for a good hiding tp get closer for mcclaren to get the boot but I'm always abit more wary of Newcastle they always seem to turn up for us.

We were presented with the same opp last week vs Swansea and we took it albeit only just and here are again this week. Klopp has already put the players on guard in his pressed so I expect the boys to be fully concentrated on the task. Newcastle are a bad team and if you play vs a bad team, you should be professional in your perf, handle your business and job done if you indeed consider yourself a good team. Klopp will get them ready so not too worried.

Add Chelsea to that list haha Newcastle are a bit of a bogey team for us but hopefully we put them to te sword tomorrow.

I am confident, but the better we do, the more I expect us to have a dissappointing defeat, like the palace one really.

I see what you're saying, I agree to some extent but perhaps you are being a little too cautious and comparing where we are now, to where we were under Brendan.

I genuinely think that we should win tomorrow. It would be a bad result if we don't. It has nothing to do with so-called patterns of form, or hunches, psychic opinions of fans.

22 guys will go hell for leather tomorrow, regardless of form someone will come off on top and hopefully we will all be recording MOTD2 and watching it obsessively for the next week!
