We are Liverpool tra la la la la - poetry in motion.

Liverpool fans love that. Love the fact that we are playing attacking, attractive football. Rogers is committed to that. We can't have it both ways. I genuinely like Lucas as a man and player, have supported him on here for years, but he SLOWS our attack down. On turnover possession the game stalls at his feet

He's simply a round peg in a square hole in Roger's style and system.

Good luck to him in the future. Wish him all the best.

{Ed001's Note - sorry Rodgers is committed to what? Have you watched us at all last season, or in this preseason or the first match? There is nothing attacking or attractive about us. Rodgers is committed to slow build ups and pass, pass, pass football. That is what he sees as the way to play the game, not all out attack.

As for Lucas slowing our attack down, that is just a lie. He has always taken the ball and played it quickly, forward if possible. There is nothing about him that slows the play down, so if he is holding on to the ball, then it is simply a lack of options as he likes to move it quick. That was what Rafa liked about him in the holding role, was the way he would get it and always look to move it on quickly and preferably forward to launch a counter. So for anyone to suggest he is slowing the game down himself is clueless. That is a tactical issue, not an issue of singular players that our play is slow.}

I'm happy to disagree Ed.

I love the way everybody ignores the fact that last year was an abomination - Suarez out, Sturrige out - T Committee forcing Mario and others. Yet - Rogers is the sole blame carrier. Many on here placing all the credit on the previous year on Suarez and fluke.

Like I said - I and many see it differently. There seems a genuine dislike on here for Rogers - Yet - one of the Clubs Legends in Gerrard wishes he played longer under Rogers - I'll go with Gerrard on this one.

All player move on -no one likes being dropped by the coach - never have and never will - but to evertime read - 'treated badly by Rogers' is sounding petty and boring now. I too disagree with some of Roger's selections and preferences, but i'm a fan not a manager - I don't see 100% clearly BR's thinking and behind the scenes.

Excuse the mini-rant

{Ed001's Note - you do realise Rodgers agreed to the signing of Balotelli right? Or does that not suit your delusions? Anyway he is the manager, he has to learn to manage the players at his disposal and to say he is not guilty because he failed to do so is ludicrous and shows a complete lack of understanding of his role.

By the way, the issue all last season was the way we played, not who was missing. If you can't understand that then it is a waste of time having this discussion because you are childish enough to assume it is related to a personal dislike of Rodgers, rather than him being inept and judged as so. As for what Gerrard said, funny how he says other things in private and pretty much retracted those comments as soon as he left the club, but let's gloss over that because it wouldn't suit the deluded viewpoint. But yes, let's go with what Gerrard said about his boss while it could have made the difference between him getting games or sitting on the sidelines. I am sure he gave his true thoughts and not did as he was contracted to do and say the right things.

You clearly are not in the know, as you are whining on about the committee being at fault, when Rodgers had the final say. He is the manager, it is his job to take the blame because it is his job to make the final decisions.}

I wouldn't be surprised if more passes were made to Mignolet than Benteke on the weekend - doesn't sound very attacking to me. Lucas is actually the right fit. Unfortunately Rodgers must have failed geometry as he is struggling with pegs and holes - and has been since he arrived.

You're right I'm not ITK. I'm just a fan from SA. Trying to support a team I love.

I read that Rogers was given a choice of Mario and another, chosen by the TC. Like I said I'm not ITK.

I battle to see how one can ignore the loss of Suarez and Sturrge, effectively our strike force out. I saw a manager change systems numerous times to adapt.

No matter where we're on the log or who is managing LFC I'll be watching my first game at Anfield next year.

Cheers
Big A

{Ed001's Note - it is not a case of ignoring it, it is a case of a manager failing to create any kind of solution to a problem that he knew was coming. It is a complete lack of forward planning.

I hope you get to see a good win when you get there and have a great time.}

Poetry in motion - 2013/2014 season - great attacking football over most of the 38 League Games - oh by the way Lucas played in 26 of those games.

Gerrard wanted to play under Rodgers so much that he left! Bit of a theme that, players wanting to leave Liverpool while Rodgers is manager. They probably realise they have a cat in hells chance of winning the league or even playing in the Champions League while Rodgers is manager.

As for Big A saying we play attractive attacking football that is hilarious even at half 7 in the morning. We are one of the most boring teams to watch, the only time we were attractive was when Suarez was pulling the team along

I think what Gerard meant to say was that if he met Rodgers 10 years ago he would have won more titles as he would have fed off to Chelsea as soon as he realised what a mess Rodgers was creating at Liverpool

Oh no, Ed, you've got it all wrong. Rogers is the victim.Pascoe was the real culprit. He and his cohorts, we're secret Man Utd fans, manipulating Rogers with advanced mind control techniques. It's not as straightforward as it looks.

Big A is just one in a long list of BR apologists who will do and say anything, including the most deluded and baseless comments, to the point of trashing players BR is freezing it of the team and treating disgracefully, in order to absorb him of blame for his many failures. Now, they have to reinvent facts like how the TC failed him whereas he is the head or how injuries and departures led to him being found out to be a poor manager, just to make their baseless points. Pathetic!

Easier to attack the poster than make an objective coherent point.
