Morning Eds and readers. Question for ED001 if possible?

Much has been said this last couple of weeks about Rodgers tactical inefficiencies and his seeming inability to adapt/learn. My question is thus: of the available coaches in europe who may be interested can you suggest anyone better?

I am not a fan of Rafa but he is tactically astute (just don't give him control of finances), would you take him back?

{Ed001's Note - no, he is not doing well with Napoli, he ruined Inter, he is just not as good as the 2005 final made us all hope.}

Is there anyone available who you would take ed?

Obviously there are dream appointments (I assume yours would be Bielsa, Myself I like Conte having watched his teams and met him too.) but dream appointment aren't going to happen.

Or would you persevere with Rogers?

{Ed001's Note - I am still not sure. I really think it comes down to getting the right DoF and working from there.}

I would choose De Boer as coach out of all the realistic options. Seems a solid coach, and works well with youngsters. It's the d.o.f position that worries me most. I don't see any out there that are suitable.
What's eds opinions on the dof? I know you've mentioned Cruyff, but that was in the same breathe as never going to happen.

{Ed001's Note - I would go all out for Monchi I think now. He has been let down by Barca so should be attainable.}

Didn't Ed002 say something about how our chances of getting Monchi was very low due to the screwing around during the signing of Moreno?

{Ed001's Note - yes, but that was before Barca messed him around, now he is looking for a way to move on and we might be able to convince him.}

If he is the guy then have the owners need to go get him. His success with Sevilla is clear for all to see. If the owners want Bruce Arena and/or Klinsman "the Dictator" then we are in trouble.

{Ed001's Note - good thing is Klinsmann is not interested in leaving California.}

Phew! That was close, Ed.

{Ed001's Note - Villa made him an offer, he made it very clear that he did not want to return to England so it was a big relief. I was worried he would have a stormer with them and get the job with us in the summer!}
