Anyone else think sterling won't sign unless we get CL football and who could blame him its a valid reason

Also first half we were bad yesterday but with 11 men we easily could have won in the 2nd half plain and simple it was Gerrard fault as may teams play bad in the 1st half and won the game in the 2nd no point in lying over analysing it as a bad 1st half and a stupid Gerrard cost us the game

Now as fans all we can do is hope we beat arsenal and hope United slip up soon bang back to 1 piont difference

{Ed001's Note - come on, you can't blame Gerrard for that, we weren't winning and his sending off cost us 3 points! He came on to rescue us and didn't succeed, but he is not at fault for our defeat. Quite simply we should not have been in the position to need rescuing in the first place. Ed. Gerrard did cost us the chance to win the game after halftime.
He can't be blamed for that 1st half and Rodgers for me takes 90% of the blame but Gerrard has to take his 5% share of it.
Imagine if that was Balotelli or Sterling who got sent off.
Or Glen Johnson??
On the subject of Glen. I know he is not the best but surely he is a better option than Sterling or Lallana at wing back, and he can head a ball well??
I think that would have been a good option for dealing with Fellaini from the start.

{Ed001's Note - yes he messed up, but that doesn't mean the loss is his fault. He should never have been brought on. Rodgers had still not made any move to counter the ball to Fellaini, so things were not going to change with Gerrard on.}

Gerrards sending off was a factor in the terms that it made it more difficult to rescue something from the game, but the Ed's correct in saying that you can't blame him for the defeat. Break the halves up 0-1 1st 1-1 2nd. We have been sussed on how to play against us. The Swansea game should have given BR the warning, Gary Neville told everyone on Monday night that Gary Monk had showed teams how to play against us. Brendan needs to tweek it again. It's pointless playing with wing backs if your back 3 are deep and trying to pass their way out. Utd worked harder than we did and deserved the win.

if we could get 50mil for sterling then I would take the money and run.

sterling is all about speed, ibe for me has the greater potential of the 2.

Sertainly gerrard didn't loose us the game, because he was not playing, but he did cost us any change of putting up a fight. Also the way Balo played it was like 9 players on the pitch.
