Depends what your looking for Jay. personally i'd put up with Trents defensive weaknesses to get wat we get from him. boys right foot is an absolute wand.

Defensive errors aside, Trent looks great when he is confident and awful when he’s not confident. That’s it really. He’s currently in a “good moment” to quote every modern manager.

Jude, if you watch Trent I think there is no doubt he wants to play midfield. He's a different player there.
In defence, when defending, he often looks bored and not switched on while in midfield he seems very aware of his positioning and of those around him, he looks like he is enjoying the game.
Either way when in attack/ posession he has an impact on the game.

We’d be silly not to use him as a box to box option IMO - he clearly loves playing midfield and has the legs for it, as well as the vision, passing and long shots. Defensively he has a bit to learn, but much less of a liability than when he’s at RB and isolated against the best in the business, especially in the air. We have the space now with Keita and Milner leaving, let’s just go out and get a top RB instead to replace.
