Hi, United fan here. I obvs know the rivalry between us but if anyone feels what you guys must be feeling right now it's a United fan. One of them isn't it, you know one day it'll happen but never are quite prepared for it. I'd like to think if Fergie had of not held off telling about his retirement and said earlier Klopp would've come to us. Which leads me to say, despite that rivalry, Klopp for me has been an amazing coach/ manager and will go down as one of the greats. What he's done for Liverpool is remarkable and I tip my hat to him. Obvs from a selfish point of view am hoping a new era involving United moves in but at the same time Klopp leaving is a huge loss to the Prem. I will say tho that you're better ran than we have been recently so I don't envisage the calamity we've endured the last 10 years for you. Anyway, if ever there was a way to galvanise for a quad then this announcement could be it (hopefully not) x.

Hi guys, United fan here, I've been meaning to ask, how do you see your season panning out and also from an FPL standpoint, whose your best team this year, initially I was on Trent but I've seen you ship so many goals in pre season, then I thought well Salah obvs but I've read some things about how he is being played wider and less of a goal threat but possibly more of an assister if that's true? Then I thought Darwin has looked sharp but so has Gakpo and Jota at times, who do you guys see as your regular front 3? How are you feeling ahead of the new season?
Side note but as a lifelong United fan, in my new job where I work mostly I can see Anfield, the irony lol. Anyway hope you're well lads.

I think Gakpo will be our player of the season. I think he'll be sublime this year. I think Jota will also have a great season – if he stays fit. I hope the midfield additions will hit the ground running. Very concerned about the defence. Top 4 will be a good year, to be honest.

I think it's very hard to say at the moment.
It's pretty obvious that we need to bring a couple of new faces in (at least) . Who those are will provide a much better idea of how we'll get on. I genuinely cannot envisage us just going with the team as it is. The loss of Henderson and Fabinho might still come back to bite us, but I hope not.
I doubt there will be too many surprises with the team, though. I think the front five will get the same amount of chances. Salah is nailed on, of course - but, I think it really depends on who takes their chance early on. Nunez looks sharp and really needs a good season, Jota will always score and looks like he's over the injury problems he had (fingers crossed) .
For midfield, I think MaCallister is going to do well for us. He looks like a Liverpool player already, to me. Szoboszlai might take a little time to find his feet, but I have high hopes for him.
Personally, I can see this being a great season for the neutral. There are plenty of teams that will be fighting at the top of the table.

Good lad. Diaz, gakpo and salah no doubt. I think it will be a season where our two teams will fight it out for 4th place personally. And If that will be the case, may the best team win :)

From my point of view salah will start when fit so he will always be a goal threat but the has turned more provider from what I’ve seen but still expect 20 goals from him yet again I think his main rival on the goal front could be any of the others as I’d expect 10/ 15 off all of them if I’m being honest . Diaz looks ready for this season like really ready to give it 110%.

There must be a tactical formation that somehow means we can put Diaz, Salah, Jota, Nunez and Gakpo on the pitch at the same time. I have no idea which ones should be left out of the starting eleven as they are all exceptional in their own way.

Hi Welsh, I think our front 5 will be excellent this season, I just hope they all stay fit
Midfield, we look a lot better but there is confusion over whether or not we will play a 4-3-3 or this hybrid system which has Trent moving to midfield and back to rb
Personally, I'm not a fan of it long term. I think it can work in certain games but we'll get completely tore apart in others - either way, I think the midfield is crying out for a dedicated cdm. We get that, midfield looks good. Personally, I'd move Trent permanently into midfield
Defence wise, again has question marks due to this hybrid role.
If we persist with that, we really need a new cb and then do we need Tsimikas or Robbo then? Would we really consider selling the likes of Robbo? Love him as a player, would 100% keep
If we stick to 4-3-3, lb is sorted grand. Rb? Why on earth would you let young Ramsay out on loan? Leaves Bradley and Gomez then too who can cover
Cb is the area we are short in. Gomez looks a complete liability there post injury - will he recover his form? Who knows, needs game time to gain confidence etc and filling in at rb might certainly help.
Matip just looks awful a lot of games tbh - at 32 and last year of contract, now would be the time to sell
Konate i do like but can he keep fit all season? Solid enough defender but needs to stay fit
VVD, looks nowhere near what he was before that injury but the chopping and changing of partners hasn't helped. Has probably played too much football since his return from injury tbh - i do think a quality cb is required this season, Gvardiol would have been ideal but we need to make a move and sooner rather than later
Look forward with hope this season tbh but trepidation too- going forward I think we will be very good but there are concerns defensively.

Can’t believe the bare cheek of posters questioning Ed002, I’ve been on these pages, MU mainly, for many years and Ed002 always has it spot on, he’s not going to spout out blow by blow movement of what may or may not happen like a journo would and as a previous poster said and I think other Ed’s have said people come on this site to find out what’s happening and regurgitate it as their own. Big shout to Ed002 and all you Ed’s for the info and insight you provide us.

I’m from Wrexham also but a United fan, it’s was a squad of academy players but nice to see my home town doing well. As OP wish Mullin all the best and it’s not a long one.
