Quick question for Ed002 if I may.

Reports showing Palace are showing an interest in Benteke and Liverpool looking at a significant fee for him.

Is their interest due to the fact they have more money to spend as a result of the new TV revenue?

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - No, their interest will be because they see that the player can improve their side.}

Can u see us getting the 30mill we are holding out for Ed002? . Or will we get 28 or something. I thought 25 was good.

{Ed002's Note - I would not get too wrapped up in the money McD.}

Sure thing Ed 2, of course they see Benteke as an option to improve their squad, hence the bid.

I just thought that it was significant as I've never seen the likes of say Palace bid that amount for a player, especially when you factor in all the additional costs, agents fees, VAT on these fees, potential relocation costs etc etc,

Having said that, I think I read below that Palace have backing from the US so that may have answered my question.

Money is clearly not an issue for Palace as they had no problem splashing 33m on a bid for Batshuayi. I think the deal will go through especially because he wants the move and we don't wanna keep him.

obviously it's because of the TV deal. no idea why Ed 02 disagreed with that comment. i don't think they can afford to bid that much with out it.

{Ed001's Note - because you are wrong. They could not afford to spend that much because of the TV deal. Why do ignorant people argue when it is clear they have no idea what they are talking about? Palace were taken over recently by an extremely well-financed group who are pumping money in. That is why they can afford it, not because of the TV money, which they have not received yet anyway.}

Spot on, Ed. They are financial backers from the States if I'm correct. If not, you may correct me.

{Ed001's Note - correct, they are an American consortium.}
