What is the situation regarding Loc Remy? Have Liverpool shown an interest again or are the bridges burnt with him? Could be an option if we don't land a marque forward!!

I thought the exact same thing for a fraction of a second, and then moved on to Ed001's thoughts! This was a guy who was wanting to play for us, and would have provided us with a striker in the Suarez mould (albeit not as good, but then not many are) and would have dovetailed nicely with Studge. Then BR's PR machine moves into overdrive as he's got cold feet over the deal and wants to pursue someone else. So he trashes the players health in order to back out of the deal, rather than saying "I'm an indecisive muppet who's changed my mind".

Would you want to come back to us a year later, to play for the same indecisive muppet?

2) incider knowledge into the club and in particular BR's mind Zed, or just making assumptions that add to the fuel of hypocrisy which has surrounded fan views of BR (previous and now)?

Bob, based on reports from the Eds at the time, particularly Ed001.

So, given that you are a visitor and contributor to the site, you could argue that is based on insider knowledge. If you think its based on "making assumptions that add to the fuel of hypocrisy" then I would argue you are exhibiting signs of hypocrisy yourself.

Also, Bob, on the point that he's not that good, its all relative.

You're right, he's no where hear as good as Suarez, as I said. But he would have cost us around £8m.

Looking at his record in the last few seasons at QPR, Newcastle and now Chelsea, he has:

Scored 27 Premier League goals in 45 premier league starts (plus 16 sub appearances).

That is a much better record than any other striker we had at the club in 2014/15 bar Sturridge.

£16m on Balotelli or £8m on Remy? I know where I'd spend my money.

Br wasn`t ready to buy remy who cost 8m but oversaw the arrival of Balo for 16m. And yet many on here wanted BR to stay after that demonstration of diabolique incompetence
