Ed mate, how do you think Mac Callister has settled in. Szobo obviously over shadowing his performances and he doesn't look comfortable in the role so far losing the ball very easily and very easy to go past.

{Ed001's Note - he seems to have settled into the team well, he just is struggling to get to grips with playing as a DM. It is not really his strong suit. He did improve as the game went on against West Ham though.}

i think its also a case of understanding the give and take in playing him in this DM role.

it is definitely not his best position which means u are going to get more exposed at times, but as now our midfield trios are typically full of energy, u don't feel so much whenever he actually loses the ball. we haven't had that in a long time.

conversely, in attack all 3 of our midfielders can contribute, just see nunez's goal as an example. its a path chosen, where if u fully understand the risks AND the rewards of it, can somewhat be reflected in our results this season. as we are scoring and winning games, we are also conceding goals.

but they are also a new trio, and with some understanding things could get even better. for clarification, this isn't a negative comment. i am liking our current setup, i also absolutely love nunez, he's really growing on me.

Overshadowing his performances? They are teammates, not league rivals. It has become clear that Szoboszlai has the potential to be one of the very best players in the players in the world, comparing him to teammates doesn’t help anyone.
MacAllister has made a very good start to his Liverpool career despite being asked to play outside his normal position.

Attacking players "overshadow" other players most of the time. I think its because fans tend to focus more on the flashy stuffs (runs, dribbles, shots, goals etc) .

You can clearly see how some said bad stuffs about Henderson back then, or even Lucas. Did they do most of these "flashy" stuffs in most games? Nope. So, that's why.

Eh I'm not having a dig at you ya Jimmy. It's more of a general statement, because I've encountered a few that said this (friends of mine), but not in a good manner (a point to criticize other players) .
