Wow Ed001 mate, I just read the Lance Armstrong piece. One of the very best investigative piece, honestly. Really enjoyed it. How long did it take you to piece all of it?

But really, every reader on this site should read that. Gave me all sorts of things, disgust and astonishment mainly.

{Ed001's Note - thank you! I really appreciate that. I have been working on that off and on for a couple of years. The research did take a lot of time, mostly because I wanted to make sure I understood exactly what he took and what it did before I wrote it. And I did get sidetracked reading up about who else was implicated by Fuentes!}

Really good stuff mate. But puts in perspective what else was done by or through Fuentes and really makes me question all the achievements.

You mentioned Serie A too, is that around the same time period or before?

{Ed001's Note - the same period and long before and after. Juve, in particular, have been implicated for a very long time.}

It was an excellent read ed001. Fascinating chapter in cycling history. What these guys were willing to do to their bodies for the sake of winning was frightening. Tyler Hamiltons book is a great, read for anyone interested.

{Ed001's Note - sadly cycling has always been like it and still is now. Thank you, really glad you enjoyed it.}

{Ed001's Note - here: Lance Armstrong article.

Interesting article and a blast from the past for me. Phil Ligget was employed by the MMB when I went to work for them as a trainee accountant in 1964. He was in marketing and co-ordinated the Milk Race tour. As naive 18 year old from Heswall, I pulled him up for not returning a pool car to base over a weekend. As another coincidence I recently was working with a Rob Mcloughlin whose brother Joey was a star of cycle racing in the sixties.

Great read, really good work. It happened to coincide with me watching the Disney documentary “lance” over the past couple of days. Can I ask what you think of him?

{Ed001's Note - I find him a thoroughly dislikeable character. Incredibly selfish and obsessed with winning at all costs.}

Hey Ed001

Do you think that borh Vinegaard and Pogadjar is using drugs these days? The danish press, I’m being a dame myself, has not been asking a single question about doping for the last three years. Mabye everybody wants to believe in a fairytale, where the very likeable J Vinegaard from little Denmark, a small town with only 1000 citycents, beats the Big names.
He was a very ordinary biker in his younger years, and everybody asked about it, would never have thought that he would actually be prof at all.
It was the same with Riis, he is still sine kind of a hero i Denmark.
What du you think?

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea who he is sorry. I don't follow cycling. But the sport of cycling (sport in general to be honest) is simply not clean, so there is a good chance he is doping.}
