Is there any rules that allow a PL club to sign a player out of the transfer window, due to a high level of injuries to 1st team players?

I personally think the youngsters have to be given a chance, otherwise there is no point in them being there.

Can they seek special permission due to extraordinary circumstances?

I would think unlikely but just curious.

We are a mess. To be fair though I’d rather have all these injuries on this ‘fake’ season rather than a real one.
